Franco (Bright Side #3)

There are a few authors out there who, if they are releasing a book, there is no need to even skim the synopsis to know that I am going to read their book and probably LOVE it.  Kim Holden is one of those people.

Whenever I read a Kim Holden book I feel as though Kim shows a part of herself in her characters.  Kim Holden is KATE SEDWICK she’s living life to the fullest and when you with her you want to be a better person. There is also quite a bit of Kim Holden in Gus.  The sweet, loving, caring Gus is Kim Holden personified. Kim, as does Gus, makes every person she speaks to feel as though they are the most important person in the world, validates their feelings and is a listening more so than a talker!

In All Of It we fell for Dimitri and Veronica – a timeless love story which I want to believe is Kim and her loving husband “B”. A timeless love story.  I love to hear the fun times Kim and her family experience and she allows us into her life with her books too.

If you have ever met Kim Holden you will know that “So Much More” was a huge part of who Kim is.  Kim is an author who stands IN FRONT of her table and seriously and literally HUGS every person who comes to see her. (No wimpy hugs there either – they are given with gusto and feeling and you will be a changed person after getting a hug from Kim).    “Free Hugs” from Kim Holden will complete your reading experience….then she gave us Franco and Gemma.

Like I said – Franco has a little bit of Kim in him too.  A side I am not sure many see.  I think Kim may be a little mischievous and funny and also a little dirty as is Franco. Franco is not unlike Gus in that he’s a genuine person.  He doesn’t bullshit anyone, says it like it is.

I have had the pleasure of meeting the “real” Gemma briefly also and her infectious spirit lights up the room (and eyebrow envy at it’s best)…I felt as though Gemma’s character is such a beautiful portrayal of the “real” Gemma (with a little naughty with Franco).  The character Gemma was not unlike Franco, a bit more vulnerable but funny and to the point.  I love a strong character like Gemma.  And yes oh yes – Gemma and Kate would have been BFF’s! (Not unlike the real Gemma and real Kate Sedgewick are).  I can’t imagine someone caring for me so much to write an entire book and character about me.  The “real” Gemma must have had a hard time reading this book with the tears in her eyes.  It’s an ode to a friendship made in the heavens.

I read this book with a stupid smile on my face the entire time…I laughed so hard I cried, I cried so hard I may have outwardly sobbed but the range of emotions you expect from Kim Holden are here and in force.  Kim’s writing goes into your bones and soul and never leaves.  She’s a beautiful story teller.

If you fell in love with Kim Holden with Bright Side and Gus then this is an absolute MUST read.  I loved the quick witted Franco before this book and my feelings have only intensified.

Franco and Gemma will steal your breath away with their love story.

And the epilogue will make every Gus and Scout fan smile like loons!!
