Review: THE DARK PRINCE (Dark Light Series #2) by S.L. Jennings
Dorian Skotos is Dark. And although that brand of sheer, unrelenting evil is a direct threat to her life, Gabriella is tragically in love with him.
Gabriella knew it was all too good to be true. The way his touch radiated electricity right to her core, the way his ice blue eyes somehow made panties drop involuntarily, how his sexy half-smile crumbled the barriers around her heart…Dorian was extraordinary in every way.
She ignored the alarm bells for the sake of pleasure and a little slice of peace from her mixed-up life. She thought that whatever he was, she could help him. Maybe even change him. But now that the proof of Dorian’s true identity and what he was sent for is staring her in the face, Gabriella can’t deny the inevitable. And confronting that truth could very well slaughter more than just her fragile heart.
The Dark Prince is the second book of The Dark Light Series and the follow-up novel to Dark Light.

Review
Abby: Is it hot in here? (As I fan myself with my hand, pretending its going to do any good.) Talk about hot and sexy. I literally think that steam may have been coming off of the pages as I was reading. Whoo S.L. Jennings can write a sexy scene like no other, and this is a paranormal sex scene so things are happening that are out of the norm, but hot as hell. If you ask me, the owners of adult entertainment websites like porn-hd.xxx should be queuing around the block to sign Jennings up as a scriptwriter.
This is the second book in the Dark Light Series. I love when a second book tops the first and this is exactly what this book did for me. It just keeps getting better and better and by the time I was done I was silently cursing the heavens that I will have to wait to keep going with Dorian and Gabs. (I throw my fist in the air, Why God Why?)
There was a point in this story where I was saying Okay I get it they keep having sex, and then as soon as I had that thought I turned the page and the entire story took a turn and completely flipped upside down, leaving my cheeks streaked with tears.
There were so many times that this story had me looking at the characters motives and questioning why they were doing things. S.L. Jennings wrote very dimensional characters. There were times when Gabs was annoying me and other times when I thought to hell with Dorian. In the end I thought all of the emotions that S.L. Jennings put me through was worth it and that I needed every bit of it to get to where I needed to be at the end of the story.
Can I just say how much I love a great epilogue. This one is from Dorian’s p.o.v. and right there as if her sex scenes couldn’t get any hotter, when told from his perspective WOW! And then it happens, that moment when a book has a surprise that leaves your jaw slightly ajar, and I loved it.
I loved this story. I can’t wait for it to keep going. If you are not a huge paranormal fan that is okay because there is so much more going on in this story I think that if you love some good love scenes and a great plot this can be enjoyed by so many, although it’s probably not for the prude and definitely not for anyone under 17.
Dawn: OH.MY.GAWD!!!!! The Dark Prince is fantastic!!! SL Jennings wraps you up in a story and doesn’t let you go! The Dark Prince (Dark Light Series #2) picks up right where Dark Light left off. I loved Dark Light and the drama that unfolded and The Dark Prince did not disappoint in giving me even more hot sex, drama, pain, love, and heartbreak.
In the beginning, I was thinking, okay, so Dorian and Gabriella have a great thing going – the sex is steamy and transcendent, the love between them is a beautiful thing – and yet this is all too easy. When’s the other designer shoe going to drop?
Then BAM!! It dropped. Hard.
S.L. threw some curves at me with more damn sexy Greek men (mmmm…Niko), more of the bitch-on-wheels Aurora, and an old flame who’s all too eager to prove his love (oh, Jared…). All this coupled with Gabs’ impending decision upon her 21st birthday became almost too much for me! I wanted to cry, yell at Dorian, Gabs, or anyone who’d listen, scratch some eyes out, and cry some more because my heart was broken so many times! Yet in a tiny corner of my heart I held out hope for a happily ever after.
In the end, I loved how S.L. brought all the pieces together beautifully and yet left me wanting so much more! (Please, S.L. we must have MORE!)
