Review ~~ Fade In by M. Mabie
FADE IN
by M. Mabie
Tatum Elliot is a successful writer on a hit television show, lives in an Upper East Side apartment and loves her life. She wouldn’t change a thing. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a choice. She’s losing her sight.
Tripping over her tongue and her heels, Tatum all too quickly realizes that the things which appeared so important before are slowly slipping away leaving room for what really matters. With the support of her best friends, family and colleagues, she begins to see that there’s much more to life… and herself.
When Ben Harris enters her life as her new personal assistant, she can’t tell if it’s his good looks and charm that are working on her libido, or his kind and helpful nature working on her heart? Whatever it is, neither one of them can resist it.
As her vision fades out, a world of love and happiness just might…Fade In.
Fade In is a contemporary-romance novel about laughing through your tears and telling life to, quite frankly, “Suck it.” This novel contains sexual situations that the author may or may not have tried at home… for your safety, of course. Research is research.

LOUISA’S 4 STAR REVIEW
M. Mabie is just one of the few authors who will write books that I will read, regardless of the synopsis because she has shown me that she can tug my heart strings, make me smile then laugh and cry all in the same sentence. I have had the pleasure of reading her other books, Bait and Sail. She made me a long time reader with those and when the chance to read Fade In landed in our laps, without hesitance, I signed up to read this!
It doesn’t surprise me that 95% of the amazon reviews for this book are either a 4 or 5 star! There aren’t too many authors our there that can make you literally laugh out loud while reading. M. Mabie is one of them. These characters that she has created were real and so fun to get to know.
Tatum and Ben learn that you don’t need to see everything to know what’s going on…literally and figuratively. Just an absolutely beautiful book. Ben helps Tatum with her everyday tasks and teachers her to live. She may have thought she was living, but I honestly believe, she began her true life when she met Ben. And OMG the Epilogue just had me in tears, blubbering, snot filled tears. I read this book while on vacation and it needs to be on all “summer beach reads” list.
KERRY’S 4.5 STAR REVIEW
Super Cute, Funny, Sweet and Sexy, Heartbreaking all rolled into one well written that is you devouring it
Tatum is a successful writer with her best friend Winnie they work for a hit TV show.. The one thing that Tatum was trying to do was slow the clock her diease was was processing and she was lossing her sight. The doctors wanted her to talk to a therapist to help her with the transition but she wasn’t having it. Tatum is big stubborn and will do things her way, she has the best sassy personality that you will just love
Tatum starts making preparations for her soon blindness, by simplify life, she also hired a personal assistant and a driver to help “simplify” her daily living. Ben Harris knocks on Tatum’s door for a interview as her PA. But Tatum wants nothing more than to “Jump” him, she knows that she can’t mix business with pleasure
Ben has helped Tatum in so many ways he has proven himself to her and she knows he is a great asset that she can’t loss so the attraction the two of them have is put aside but for how long before they give in.
I enjoyed this well written book so much it’s filled with laughs, the banter that Tatum throws you will have you understanding her more and just love her, My heart also broke for Tatum it’s hard to deal with daily living but to find out at a young age your life is going black you start to loss your hope and dreams, I can’t even fathom how it is deal with lossing the ability to see, and to know you will have to depend on others, Tatum shows us so much and that there are struggles but if you have family friends and love you can get through them.

About the Author
M. Mabie lives in Illinois with her husband. She writes unconventional love stories and tries to embody “real-life romance.”
She cares about politics, but will not discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne’s World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. She has always been a writer. In fact, she was born with a pen in her hand, which almost never happens. Almost.
M. Mabie usually doesn’t speak in third-person. She promises.
