Release Day Blitz & Reviews ~~ Fade to Red by Willow Aster
Synopsis
Dancing in pop superstar Beckham Woods’ entourage was the last thing Roxie wanted. Her life with little Leo was blissfully ordinary; she didn’t have time for the drama that stirring up old memories would surely cause.
But when Roxie took a spot on an international tour with Woods and rock icon Ian Sterling, the lure of financial security and her passion for dance pulled her into an emotional storm that threatened to spin out of control and hurt the ones she loved most.
Just as she began to adjust to her new life, it became apparent that danger was in the shadows, waiting for a chance to move…
***Fade to Red is a standalone novel featuring characters from True Love Story.***
LOUISA’S 4 STAR REVIEW
Ahhhh…Willow Aster. So sorry to say that I had True Love Story on my kindle for over a year and a half and I hadn’t read it ….shame sham shame.
But I am redeemed…I read it last week and OMG Ian and Sparrow just became a power couple in my heart. I hadn’t cried reading like that in forever…I just loved every second of it.
So now onto Fade to Red…
OH-ME-OH-MY…Beckham, Beckham, Beckham…A rock star that can sing AND dace? He is instantly drawn to Roxie. He can’t stop thinking about her before he even has the chance to talk to her, but why? But she’s not feeling the same way…or not? Roxie is one wishy washy girl. Her trepidation to allow her feelings for Beckham blossom makes the angst level in this book at an all time HIGH!!
To weave such a beautiful story of a young man who is changing his ways and growing up. A young lady that just wants to do the best for family. Then Ms. Aster added in intrigue, suspense and some super sexy tour bus fun. She tops it all off with more Ian & Sparrow and a sweet little boy named Leo that steals your heart…pure genius Willow Aster, pure genius!
I thought I figured it all out pretty early on, but nope, Willow Aster has woven a story that kept me thinking and coming to conclusions that she soon blew out of the water.
I enjoyed this book so much that I read it in less than 24 hours, I stayed Up All Night reading this book!
My review 4 stars
Willow Aster’s Fade to Red takes you into the world of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biehl. Okay, I’m lying, but that is the exact power couple I imagined while reading. (Please God, don’t tell me they split. I’ve had my nose stuck in a book and could have missed)
We fall into the world of rockstar Beckham and his lead dancer Roxie. Roxie has some animosity and secrets that you can’t wait to figure out. I liked her.
Beckham might just be too good to be true. He makes mistakes, some that are never truly hashed out, but they way he loves….I need one of those-thank you very much. He was a very enjoyable character and I can’t wait to add him to our rocker list! I mean how can you not love Timberlake, the hair, the eyes, the fedora!
We get revisited by True Love Story’s Sparrow and Ian, whom I absolutely love! I liked the addition of these characters and I’m sure it was because I LOVE that story!
There are a few places in this story where I wanted more, but that can be a good thing and attribute more to the fact that Willow Aster makes you want so much from her characters. She writes this in third person, but it doesn’t feel that way. It’s done with so much eases that you get to feel what they are feeling. Willow Aster is truly an author to watch, because there hasn’t been a story that I haven’t enjoyed.
About Willow Aster
Willow Aster loves nothing more than writing the day away–anywhere will do. Her ideal place to write would be a remote treehouse somewhere, but not just any treehouse. It would need to be more like a fabulous cottage inside and free of bugs. Oh!–and a refrigerator full of Coca-cola, Orangina, and cheese. www.willowaster.com
