Release Blitz~~Twist by @Kyliescottbooks
From New York Times bestselling author Kylie Scott comes the second sizzling stand-alone novel in the Dive Bar series!
When his younger brother loses interest in online dating, hot bearded bartender Joe Collins only intends to log into his account and shut it down. Until he reads about her.
Alex Parks is funny, fascinating, and pretty much everything he’s been looking for in a woman—except that she lives across the country. Soon they’re emailing up a storm and telling each other their deepest, darkest secrets…except the one that really matters.
When Alex pays Joe a surprise visit, however, they both discover that when it comes to love, it’s always better with a twist.

Abby’s 5 Blush Review
Like all good mixed drinks, there are certain elements that just go together to make a smooth cocktail. You wouldn’t mix Rum and Vodka without adding Triple Sec, Tequila, and Gin for the perfect Long Island. Kylie Scott books are the perfect blend of all the right liquors mixed together. When you open her books you are going to find a blend of diversity, humor, sexiness, insecurity, confidence, and above all, plot. These ingredients alone are good, but together create stories that will make you book drunk. As a reader of all of Kylie’s books, I must say she can create an addict easily.
Twist gives the idea of being catfished new meaning. We meet Alex and Joe, the two, admittedly when they see each other, are not the other’s type. One flu later and lots of cold medicine has them seeing each other very differently.
With diverse character’s who are realistic in their need to work and their flawed nature, we are drawn to Alex and Joe. Joe, the hot bartender makes construction sexy. Alex, the graphic designer with a realistic shape and flare for home improvement shows, proves to be a worthy match for Joe Collins. I loved the way she stood up for Joe and the pair blended together. Kudos Kylie.
Stephanie’s 4 Blush Review
Twist is the second book in Kylie Scott’s Dive Bar Series. It is a stand-alone. Twist is Joe’s story. I loved it! It was very different than Dirty (book 1).
Joe set up an online dating profile for his brother Eric, to help him out, although really, Eric needed no help. Joe is a quiet, giant, bearded, blond “lumbersexual” guy. Always helping others. Eric quickly loses interest in the dating app but Joe had already made a connection with Alex. Joe is enjoying the emails and banter with Alex, neglecting to tell her that he is not Eric. They hit it off and enjoy hearing about each other’s days, enjoying the same TV shows and exploring the world of self-renovation.
Alex has a few issues. She is a bit isolated (self-imposed), but enjoys writing to Joe online. Except Joe isn’t Joe, well he is, except with Eric’s profile…. Other than that Alex is creative and funny.
Alex decided to surprise “Eric” on his birthday. Through a lot of coaxing from her best friend Val, she shows up at Dive Bar and well, the surprise is on her….
“So …surprise,”
“Wow.”
“Do I know you?”
….“Is this a joke?”…”Eric, It’s me. Alex.”
Then comes the Twist and then another twist and then another. Alex ends up with the flu and is too sick to fly home to Seattle. Joe tends to her. The layers come off (as well as some clothes) and they get reacquainted. They really get to know each other and their friendship blooms.
The book has many twists to it. So I don’t want to spoil it. Alex is guarded and funny but loyal to her friends. Joe is sexy, sweet, kind and also loyal (almost to a fault). Their journey from friends to lovers is slow and sweet. Their sexy times, anything but sweet (think lumbersexual)! As I said prior there are other “twists” to the story and we get some continuation of the previous story “Dirty”, catching up on the characters and their happenings.
I CAN NOT WAIT to read Eric’s story “Chaser” next! All in all I am enjoying the series. It is different from the Stage Dive series but I am hooked!
