Dawn’s Review 5 HUGE Stars

Raw…that’s EXACTLY how I felt at the end of Belle Aurora’s latest release! I’m nursing a serious book hangover and what a trip it was earning it! This isn’t your typical romance. There’s some things in here that make you want to say WTF?! How could I be good with this? How’s this going to end in any kind of way that will feel good? And then melting the next moment with a sensual, sexy moment. I was riding the emotional rollercoaster, throwing my hands in the air, and saying wait! Stop! I want off!! And then, WAIT!!! I changed my mind, that was such a ride, keep going! Because, truly, Belle Aurora does a bang-up job of luring you into the story, hitting you with some deep shit, melting your panties off with her tatted up, suit-wearing alpha man, Twitch, and consuming your thoughts with all things RAW and Twitch. Mmm, Twitch…I think I need a moment…Okay, as I was saying, I was wanting to be Lexi in a seriously naughty kind of way!

Sweetening the deal, I tell her on a whisper, “If you lift your skirt, I’ll make it so good, it’ll be worth getting caught over.”

Straightening a moment, she shakes her head as she reaches for the hem of her skirt and utters, “What is it about you that makes me want to do very stupid things?”

I’ve read all of Belle’s books, from Friend-Zoned to Willing Captive, and I have to say this is the best yet. Her development of characters is artful in the fact that within mere pages, I felt like I had known them for forever…yet, there’s also some mystery to the story that had me questioning whether I really knew them. As with her other books, there’s a cast of secondary characters that truly enhance the story rather than take away from the main characters, Lexi and Twitch. I love those friendships that she builds into her stories and this one is no exception. One of her strengths, in my opinion, is dialogue. There’s humorous moments mixed in with raw, sensual and real moments. The dialogue is smooth and pulls you through the story. Oh, and I loved the little tie-in with Willing Captive!

There’s so much more I want to say about this book but I don’t want to ruin the unfolding of the story for you. It’s dark, it’s gritty, it’s downright sexy, and there are moments that make you question what you think about what a main character/hero should or shouldn’t do…and why are you just might be okay with it. I’m only a little jealous that now I have to share Twitch with everyone else, because damn, I really want to keep him all to myself!!

There’s something about Twitch.

He’s just…raw.

Everything about him is raw. And gritty. And unbound.

Overall, this was a kick ass book to start off 2014 for me! Belle Aurora took a leap with RAW and it worked spectacularly! It set a high bar for all the rest of my reads for the coming year…once I’ve recovered from this book hangover, of course.

I’m pretty much in a state of shock right now.  My jaw is wide open.  I can not believe the whirlwind of emotion Belle Aurora just put me through.  Raw is so insanely crazy good!  Belle Aurora just set the bar extremely high for 2014.  Wowzer I thought 2013 was year of the indie, but nooooo apparently, we ain’t seen nothing yet folks!  

You want a book that has incredibly hot sex, almost so dirty you feel a little guilty reading about it?  Look out cause Raw is it.  You need an unconventional romance with a tatted up bad boy who is making both our bad boy list and our suit and tie list?  Then you need to meet Twitch.

Cause holy all things that are crazy in a completely consuming kind of way, is Twitch and Lexi.

Belle does things in this story that you think, no she isn’t going to do that, authors never do that!  And then you are like, I can’t fricken believe that happened.  It’s umm wow to say the least!

Besides just hot sex, there is whole incredible story here.  I feel like I can’t even talk about it because I don’t want to spoil any of the surprises, just know that this is one of those five star journeys that are going to have you wanting more from Belle Aurora!  Just simply fantastic!!!
