Kingdom Come by Aleatha Romig
I preferred action. I craved control. I desired power.
Welcome to the Kingdom of two families. Each powerful with some dealings that are legal and others that you don’t want to know about! Corruption, imports, exports and other underworld activities. At times the story feels heavy – and then there is a scene that had me so uncomfortable! I loved that Aleatha’s writing could move me so much! She made me hide my eyes and squirm. I literally had a knot in my stomach!
Cecilia Abernathy is our heroine. An “American princess.” She is kidnapped. Greyson Ingalls “rescues” her – but does he really? Who are the bad and who are the good? The answers will surprise you!
In that closet, I had the most dangerous emotion. I had hope.
There are characters that crossover from the duet: The Devil’s Deal & Angel’s Promise. I have not read those but they are able to be incorporated without any problems understanding the story. Aleatha Romig is a fantastic, dark, evil storyteller. Great reading for the dark romance lover!
