Let me start by saying I love this series! Until Sage is the second generation of the ‘Until’ books. In the first generation, we learn about the famous “boom”! A moment where the Mayson men meet their “forever” and just feel it…. the boom! The men are hot, sexy, thoughtful, & possessive alphas. But as time goes on, the boom not only affects the men but the women as well!

Arora Rose Reynolds is the queen of the boom! Her stories are my “go to” happy place for an escape, even if only for a moment. And this is Sage’s story……

Sage:

My whole life, I’ve been hearing about the boom. When I was younger, I thought it was bullshit, some crazy story my dad and uncles made up to tell me and the boys in my family.

Sage Mayson & Kimberly Cullen had an amazing moment in time. A day they shared together that started with him rescuing her from a flat tire and ended with a night of passion and plans to see each other again. A misunderstanding and some harsh words lead to an intense, awkward silence between them. When Sage discovers the truth he wants Kim back. Kim does not want to get hurt again and will not allow him the chance.

“In the twenty-four hours we spent together, you gave me a taste of something beautiful, and the memories of those moments have haunted me since I walked away from you.”

A tragedy occurs and Sage steps up to help Kim. I love both Kim & Sage. Kim is sweat and caring. Sage is strong, stubborn and very alpha. I love the author’s description of Sage:

He’s probably six-two, if not taller, long and lean, with broad shoulders, a tapered waist, and skin that shows he’s a mixture of something beautiful.

The story flows quickly with just a few minor bumps in the road. Not quite her usual full blown escapades. There are glimpses of our other favorite couples but this story stayed pretty focused on Sage & Kim. I would definitely recommend that you read the other books in the series first. You don’t need to go to the beginning, Until November (even though I love them all and would), you can start with the second generation – Until Jax. It will give you a much better feel of the backgrounds and happenings. And you will enjoy them!

In her acknowledgements, Aurora Rose Reynolds states that she wants to “give people a place to escape where the stories were funny, sweet and hot and left you feeling good. I have loved sharing my stories with you all, loved that I have helped people escape the real world, even for a moment.”

“He apologized. Don’t you think you should do the polite thing and at least hear him out?”
“I don’t know.”
“You don’t know, or you’re just too scared to find out what will happen if you do?”
“Do we have to do this right now?” I sigh, and he tosses his arm around my shoulders and pulls me into his side.
“We’ve been doing this for months now. I’ve seen the way you look at him when you think no one will notice, and I see the way he looks at you, not giving a fuck if everyone sees.
