DAWN’S 4 STAR REVIEW

I adored book one, Forgetting August from the Lost & Found Duet. It was a favorite of mine from last year. It is filled with angst, mystery, betrayal and an all encompassing love. I was fueled by it’s mystery and intrigue. It had one hell of a cliffy that nearly killed me and left me speechless. I was reeling from all the unanswered questions and dying for the next book, Remembering Everly.

In book one, we thought that August and Everly were going to get their HEA. Until August finally remembers what happen the night he went into a coma. We were left devastated…. thinking where do they go from here?? Remembering Everly started off a bit slow…. Seems August and Everly reverted backwards. August was once again pushing Everly away to protect her. While Everly went running back to her ex Ryan. She wasn’t the girl I remembered. She seemed to be just going through the motions….. August was still dealing with his memory loss. It was slowly coming back giving him clues to his past life and all its dangers. The more he remembers the more there is to fear. His business partner, Trent has a very strong scary hold over August…. Can he ever break free? Half way through the book is where it picked up and Everly returned better then before. I was delighted with her and August’s personal growth…. The creative storyline from the first book came back into play.. Such a wonderfully convoluted plot! Poor August he is literally like two people…. One he shows the world and one he keeps locked away. Everything he does is for Everly. But how can he keep her safe?? I loved the twists and turns that once again had me holding my breath. Can Everly & August find their way back to each other?

I would definitely recommend reading the books back to back. I wish I had. It would have kept the momentum going and I would have enjoyed Remembering Everly even more. I highly recommend this duet. It’s clever with its unique storyline and lovable characters.
