Unexpected was certainly that! What a wild ride! It is not for the faint of heart. Jenn and Paul are at a crossroad in their marriage. So this is the last ditch effort to save it. They are both walking a fine line. Trust is the force that is keeping them on it. What will happen when the unexpected occurs???
Limits are tested. Will they survive? There are many twists in the plot. The heat between Jenn and Paul – scorching hot! There are also tender moments shared as well.
The last 25% of the book left me speechless! I had to really reflect on all that Jenn and Paul went through before I had my “Ah ha” moment of clarity. This little novella packs quite a punch! Leaving you totally “ Aleatha’d”!

Aleatha is back! Once again, she captures our attention with her sexy and twisted stories. They don’t use the term “Aleatha’d” for nothing and this little novella is no exception. Jen and Paul are on the verge of divorce; however, they both still love each other and decide to give it their all in hopes of salvaging what may be left. Unexpected is about reconnecting and finding the passion you once had. Jen and Paul need to find the balance in their relationship and potentially be open to new ideas. As expected, Unexpected is a quick read full of twists, passion and some BDSM. It had been awhile since I had read BDSM, so it was a great change of pace. Can Jen and Paul save their marriage? Is divorce the answer? Sometimes it takes being at the brink of losing what you love deep down and realizing it was what you needed and wanted all along. This is the side of Aleatha I enjoy! Her books tend to hold an element of darkness with plenty of twists and elements of surprise. She never disappoints me. If you’re looking for a sizzling hot summer read, look no further. Aleatha has written some serious heat and passion in this little book.

Aleatha Romig brought the heat in Unexpected! It’s been a while since I read a book with a BDSM storyline and I forgot how steamy it could be… Aleatha balanced the heat and emotions perfectly. I gobbled this novella up!
A troubled married couple alone on an island with nothing but time to get to know each other again or move on… Maybe live out a fantasy or two. This could turn out to be PARADISE or hell. Depending on which way it goes.
Paul and Jenn had been married for some time and things were great until they weren’t… Their lack of communication and individual secrets had hindered their marriage. Could some time away save them? Once on the island, things heated up quickly. These two were HOT!! Chemistry was not their problem, vocalizing their needs was… Could they finally open up to one another before it’s too late??
I really liked Paul & Jenn from the start. Although they were on the brink of divorce, I felt their love and respect for one another. I was hoping they could reconnect and get their HEA… Their journey was intense, passionate and emotional.
