Author Spotlight: REBECCA SHEA
Today, we are shining the Author Spotlight on Rebecca Shea who will be joining us in Portland on October 12th!

Please welcome Rebecca to Up All Night Book Blog as we ask her a few questions in preparation for her visit to Portland. Oh, and did we mention there’s a little teaser from Undone, Landon’s book?? Better keep reading for that one!
UAN: Hey Rebecca! We can’t wait to see you in Portland! Tell us, is this your first visit to Portland?
Rebecca: Yes! I’ve never been to Portland before!
UAN: Oh yay!! We get to introduce you to Portland!
Is there anything in particular you are wanting to do while here (outside of meeting all the crazy fans)?
Rebecca: I’ve been told I HAVE to visit Voodoo Donuts! Aside from that I’m open to suggestions!
UAN: Absolutely! It wouldn’t be a trip to Portland without a stop at Voodoo at 2 *cough* am! Haha!
What are you most excited about regarding the signing event on October 12th?
Rebecca: Meeting readers! I love talking to those who have read my books to hear their thoughts and opinions!
UAN: Well, we know we have a lot of people looking forward to meeting you!
If you could bring one of your characters with you to the signing, who would it be and why?
Rebecca: This is a tough question! I think it would be Landon. He’s so complex, and we really only got to see a little bit of him in Unbreakable.
UAN: No complaints here if you bring Landon! He was definitely one we wanted more of after Unbreakable!
What’s one thing you’d like to share with your fans that they might not otherwise know?
Rebecca: I’m a mother, wife, businesswoman (yes, I work FT in the financial services industry as a marketing manager!).
UAN: Any special teasers or exclusives you can share with us in preparation for your visit to Portland?
Rebecca: Here’s a small teaser for Undone (Landon’s story)…not edited and subject to change:

“You’re a thrill-seeker,” she says as a statement not a question.
“Aren’t we all to some degree?”
“No,” she says tapping her short, manicured nails on the glass tabletop. “Some people play it safe their whole lives. They never take chances or risk anything.”
“Well that’s not me,” I shrug. “I like the thrill…the hunt…the chase.” God, if she only knew what I was really talking about.
“I suppose, but what happens when the thrill, the hunt, and the chase are over?” she asks. I chuckle as I meet her gaze, her blue eyes fixed on me.
“I find another thrill, another hunt, another chase.”
