#AudibleReview~~ Heidi’s Guide to Four Letter Words by Tara Sivec and Andi Arndt
Cowritten by USA Today best-selling author Tara Sivec and award-winning narrator Andi Arndt, a hysterically funny, heartfelt romance – created specifically for the audio format!
Nothing good ever comes from drinking a box of wine alone. So when I decided to entertain my drunken self by setting up some hand-me-down podcasting equipment and reading the steamy parts from romance novels, I never thought anyone would actually listen. The fact that I admitted my huge crush on my sexy next-door neighbor made the whole thing even more mortifying. But sometimes life surprises you, and that’s how my podcast, Heidi’s Discount Erotica, was born.
Now I, Heidi Larsen, a sweet former kindergarten teacher in Waconia, Minnesota, lead a scandalous double life reading erotic novels to the listening world. And with each episode, I find myself embracing my new alter ego more and more. Now I’m starting to feel more comfortable in my own skin and do things I never would have dreamed of – like kissing my neighbor.
Look out, Waconia, because Heidi’s on the loose! She’s in your ears, in your hearts, and down your pants…wait, that didn’t sound as good as it did in my head. Well, you get the picture, don’tcha know!
Louisa’s 4.5 Blush Review
You are seriously going to be LAUGHING OUT LOUD while listening to this book…like people might look at you. I had a few stares while walking through the grocery store while listening.
Heidi and her family will keep you cracking up – and Andi Arndt’s Wisconsin accent had me rolling. Heidi’s mom and Aunt…OMG – just hysterical.
Heidi finds herself with a new job, a recording studio that records audible books… dirty, sexy audible books. Now Heidi is a reader, but her “steamy” romances are often Amish romance, so the words and stories being told make her blush and she’s so naive that you can’t help but laugh. After a few glasses (of delicious box wine!) – Heidi records a podcast and the stuff that comes out of her mouth is so comical. She talks about how she’s lusting after her neighbor…
With some help from her new work friends, Heidi begins to come out of her shell. Watching her become more comfortable with herself, and confidence grow was so sweet and rewarding.
“You betcha” this was a great audible and debut book by Andi Arndt. Tara Sivec’s RomCom has always been a favorite of mine and “Dontcha know” these two a are a perfect mix!
