I have been a long time Corrine Micheals fan (like from her first book fan). I always love that Corinne has these characters that I want as my friends. I want to be a part of these peoples lives. They may have heartache and sadness but their resilience is what attracts me to them. And this book is no different. Milo and Danielle don’t just fall in love at first sight…not at all.
Danielle’s husband is murdered and she’s left raising her children alone but thankfully with the love and support of her friends she’s working and trying to get her life back together. Working for Dovetail Industries Danielle is offered a full-time position, the position that had been Callum’s brother Milo. (Make sure you read Not Until You by Corinne Micheals to read Callum and Nicole’s story. Not that you won’t enjoy this book as a stand-alone but because I loved that book too).
Milo has returned from his “absence” and wants his job back. The only obstacle? Nicole.
The relationship between Milo and Danielle is hot, sexy, funny, witty and heartfelt. This book is a bit friend to lovers and slow-burn mixed together seamlessly.
Now – I loved the story and I may have loved it even more with the narration added. Sophie Eastlake and Shane East nailed it. I am not sure there is anything sexier than hearing Shane East narrate the sexy times between Milo and Danielle. I guess I need to mention that Milo is British…oh yeah – that’s a really important fact!
