A new, laugh out loud romantic comedy series from USA Today bestselling author Christine Zolendz.
Sensible women do not believe in love at first sight. And Jane Nash is one sensible woman (well, most of the time). But when her eyes–and lips–land on a complete stranger at a baseball game, Jane feels like she’s hit a grand slam as the crowd roars its approval. However, in the chaos of the stadium, she loses Mr. Perfect in a throng of fans and foam fingers.
Determined to find him again, Jane sets off on a mission for that baseball fan of her dreams. Suddenly, she gets a crash course in Karma, learning quickly that Karma’s one tricky wench. But Karma has plans of her own–and Jane is about to get everything she’s ever wanted–and nothing she ever expected.
Abby’s 5 blushes
Christine Zolendz is one of those authors for me that I can’t wait to read when she has a new book out. She writes a wide variety of romance, from paranormal, contemporary and romantic comedy. I also have a confession, rom-com is not my favorite, but being Christine Zolendz, and it looked like a fast fun read I thought, what the heck, I’ll give it a go.
5.5
That’s the number of hours of sleep I had last night. Just five and a half hours. This rom-com did, in fact, have me LOL-ing. It was way more addicting than I expected and I finished it nearly as soon as my kids got on the bus.
Jane Nash is awkward. Her awkwardness reminded me of Drew Barrymore in Never Been Kissed or Renee Zellweger in Bridget Jones. I pictured so much of this playing out like a movie. I remember thinking last night somewhere past midnight, so I guess this morning, that I could see this being a Netflix rom-com but Netflix might have to tone down the guy with a horse head, lube and no sense of direction.
If you’re looking for a good laugh mixed with a lightness that’s refreshing and comical, then this is your book.
I enjoyed this light-hearted story immensely and I look forward to reading more of Jane Nash’s story.
