Whiskey Burning by Bella Jewel
darkness is where I first met him.
water fountain, tears rolling down my cheeks.
shadows, his voice came to me.
Comforting. Rough as the blackest night.
even know his name.
was he saved me that night.
back on my feet.
me on them.
single time I needed him, he found a way to come to me.
of the night.
Scarlett. You probably know me.
America’s number one country music star.
the loneliest girl you’ll ever meet.
free as a bird. A nomad. Travelling alone.
hold him back.
the freedom I pray for every single day.
that life can be so much more than what I’m living.
comes knocking, he’ll also show me a different world.
never knew existed.
that both terrifies and fascinates me.
that goes against everything I’ve ever known.
There were a few times the hero frustrated me, but hey, that’s a biker for you right? You don’t expect a perfect love when reading one of these.
This book to me seemed to end in a cliffy. I guess not a huge one and Bella promises the next book to be out next month. I was left with so many questions about how their relationship would progress and I’m really hoping that we get a lot of that in the next book, which I will, of course, be reading.
