#ThrowbackThursday #DearLife by #MeghanQuinn #5StarReview #ProveYourExistence
It’s New Years Eve and time for a resolution. Time for decision and self-discovery. After all, isn’t that what starting over, in a new year, is all about? Forgiveness. Clean slates? Finding beauty in heartbreak and pain, and finding yourself along the way?
We hope so.
Because we’ve immersed in the anonymously published Dear Life program, designed to help us step outside of our comfort zones and start anew. Forced to face obstacles and relinquish our demons we’ll come together–or fall apart– to prove our existence:
Hollyn: The perpetually hurt
Daisy: The sheltered and naïve
Jace: The athlete with a heart of gold
Carter: The bitter and pained dreamer
Win big or lose it all, we’re at a crossroads in our lives; four strangers meeting in the middle.
Do we have what it takes to use this one chance and start over? Or will we fall apart?

ALL THE STARS ?
Wow. Wow! You guys. This book! I know I’m late to the party on this one but I am so glad I finally got my hands on this book. It’s RARE that a new (to me) author shoots straight to the top of my favorite author list after I’ve read only one of her books but Meghan Quinn has done it! She is such a talented writer; her storytelling evoking so much feeling and emotion that I could literally feel my heart squeezing and couldn’t stop the tears from flowing.
Anyone who has ever experienced the wonder that is falling in love, the pain that is heartbreak or the despair that is loss NEEDS to read this book. It is a combination of tiny little perfections that when woven together tells the most beautiful story I’ve read in YEARS. I read this book in just over 24 hours and I didn’t want it to end. I could have kept reading for EVER, that’s how much I enjoyed these characters. I fell in love with them all for different reasons and missed them when I had to put the book down to do things like sleep. This is the exquisite story of four broken people coming together finding the solace they needed in one another. I experienced so many different emotions while reading- sadness, grief, joy, and pure happiness. I even felt PROUD of these characters, and their growth toward healing. I need to mention the ending of this book because it was just so perfectly perfect in every way. Everything about this book was perfect. My heart is so full and I have a feeling it will stay full for a long time. Did I mention how perfect this story is? Oh, good. Now go read it. I’m off to download another Meghan Quinn book right now!
Tera’s 5 Blush Up All Night Review
Wow… what a way to weave such a personal, heartfelt story into a work of fiction.
Dear Life starts out with four strangers who are forced to live life during a time when they just can’t. Four strangers who get thrown together to help each other grieve and grow and live life together. Quinn wrote some amazing characters that you just can’t help fall in love with.
“What if is a waste of time. Don’t ruin your life over what if.”
“Life isn’t always about the good; it’s about the trials and tribulations and how you come back from them.”
For being my first read by Quinn, she surely did not disappoint. This is a story most anyone can relate to especially if you’ve hit rock bottom. This is a story about grieving, and growth, and letting go… LIVING.
Please be kind.
About the Author:
When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn’t take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn’t until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven’t turned back since.
You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.
I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.
