Dawn’s 5 Blush Review
2) A book that makes me FEEL… Oh boy, did I have lots and lots of feels!
3) An intricate plot that keeps you engaged with a multitude of layers…. Oh the twists and turns. They had me glued to the story.
4) Steamy intimate sex… This one was smoking hot and intense. I was fanning myself. Phew!
See, everything you could ask for…. Wow. Just wow.Rex Gunner and Rynna Dayne are two people who are imprisoned by their pasts…. But maybe, just maybe, together they could break free and have a future. Who doesn’t love a brooding alpha male? Rex seems cold and completely closed off living with guilt and heartache. His past has made him into the shell of a man he is today. When he meets Rynna, they have a powerful mutual attraction, but Rex fights it every step of the way. Rynna knows all about heartache and pain. It drove her from her only family and home years ago. Now she’s back trying to reclaim her life. Living across the street from Rex and his adorable daughter, Frankie Leigh. Omg how I loved this child. She was ADORABLE. I loved her’s and Rex’s relationship. So much love!! Rex & Rynna’s chemistry and sexual tension was palpable. I needed them to rip each others’ clothes off! Rex tried so hard to stay away from Rynna, but her pull towards him was magnetic. Rynna saw past Rex’s facade and into his heart. There were so many tender and emotional moments that my heart was in my throat. Also, a few moments that left my jaw on the floor!! I honestly loved everything about Show Me the Way. It is a must read.
I can not wait for the next book in the series. I’m already loving all the guys… Kale, Ollie & Seth!
LOUISA’S 4.5 BLUSH REVIEW
There are authors who creep into your heart and never leave. I think AL Jackson is one of those authors. She has the ability to dream up and create characters that will stick with you forever.
This beautiful man Rex has had such a hard life and all he wants is to do right by his beautiful little girl. Frankie Leigh just stole my heart from the first sweet words I read
“Uh-hun. We gots to look so pretty for dance...”
Her sweet little voice was in my head and reminded me of my own daughters at her age which made me smile.
Then there’s Rynna. This woman has also had one tough life, one she tried to run from but now has found herself returning to it.
As neighbors, they meet on the day that Rynna returns to her hometown after her grandmother has passed. She’s worried, concerned and scared to return to a place that holds so many horrible memories, but glad to be where she’s closest to her memories of her grandmother.
The push and pull between these two was magnificent. Wanting to reach into my kindle and scream at Rex to “live a little”, “let things happen as they should”, “don’t fight it so much”. But knowing some of his history I understood his reluctance. To watch him slowly melt the polar ice cap that surrounded his heart was heartbreakingly beautiful.
AL Jackson has a way with words, many will they are poetic and have to agree. She has such a unique writing rhythm that it’s often hypnotic and all-consuming.
Once again, the sense of family that I often love about AL Jackson books is in there. The angst, the chemistry between the characters that is often off the charts in an AL Jackson book is there. And the OMG, sexy times that I love from AL Jackson is in there! There is no formula to an AL Jackson book, they are all fresh and new and riddled with some surprises to keep you reading into way into the night! You will surely be UP ALL NIGHT reading this book, and yeah – you will be Blushing too!
