Reviews ~~ Anchor by M. Mabie
I believe in love at first sight.
Now I know soulmates exist.
Nothing has ever been easy for us.
Every fight, every struggle, has been worth it.
I’m stubborn, but what woman isn’t?
She’s hard work and I love the overtime.
He’s frustrating and unpredictable. I hope he never changes.
I love driving her crazy. That’s half the fun.
Lou’s sexy curls.
Honeybee’s pink nose.
He still looks at me like I’m precious and unflawed.
She treats me like I’m the center of her world.
Our future will be full of happiness.
Despite everything, we’re two of the lucky ones.
I took the bait.
She was a lucky catch.
He is the wind in my sail.
She’s the anchor that grounds me.
The wake our love made is beautiful.
Every day I thank God for her.
No matter the hurdles, we’ve jumped them side-by-side.
No matter the obstacles, we’ve made it through together.
For better or for worse, I’d do it again.
I’ll love and protect her all the days of my life.
We made it.
We always will.
LOUISA’S 5 ++++ STAR REVIEW
That sums up my feeling for this book. I have so thoroughly enjoyed this series. Wake and Bait may have been full of angst and uncertainty but his book…
It was 2 1/2 hours of beautiful love story. M. Mabie has given us such an amazing conclusion to the love story of Honeybee and Lou aka Casey and Blake.
Through all of it, the ups and down. The happy the sad…The tears and joy – this couple has just made me believe that there is true love out there in the book world. True – realistic unrelenting love!
I am alway such a fan of laughing while reading book and M. Mabie thrown in quite a bit of funny and absolutely there is some sexy, swooning parts too!
“…I’m sure your wife will have sex with you.
She better. I mean, it would be a shame to turn in a smoking hot girlfriend for a wife who doesn’t want to play with my wiener once in a while.”
“It’s lucky for you that I know you soon-to-be-wife, and she’s really looking forward to your…um wiener.”
If you want/need to read a book (or series) that leaves you happy and complete – this series is for you!
Just a beautiful beautiful ending to a beautiful love story!
KRISTINE’S 5 ++++ (INFINITY) STAR REVIEW
From the moment Casey Moore locked eyes with Blake Warren life as they knew it would never be the same, nor would my reading life. Sailing through their journey in the last two books have been one of my favorites. So when I saw the cover of Anchor, the third book, all the goose bumps rouse…it was beautiful!
“For star-crossed lovers under cloudy skies who never give up on love.”
M.Mabie could have not started this book with more perfect words. These two characters have found a place in my heart that will never be replaced. I do know they are not real but I don’t care, they are real to me because I know there has to be couples out there just like them. Ones that will fight the world to be with the one they love no matter the time and struggles they have to overcome. They can’t fathom a life without the one that they are supposed to be with.
I remember while I was reading Bait, I heard the song Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran and all I could think of was Casey and Blake. Lou and Betty….my favorite part in the café. If you have read Bait you know what I mean and what great memories to look back on. These memories that remind you of what these two had to fight for….sooo much. Sooo much we would all fight for. If you find your Lou then keep a hold on him, if you let him go, plan on living a life with a broken heart.
In Sail we see a whole lot of fight. We cry, we yell…frustration hits us to see their pain. Until it hits a point that we see that all of this was worth it…
Anchor pulls these two books together and we see our Betty and Lou the way they are supposed to be. Anchor has meaning to these too…..this is where they were always meant to be and forever will be.
“My heart, and everything else, belongs to him. I had already been his for such a long time. I refused to wait any longer.” ~ Blake
These two are stronger than ever.
“We’d trained ourselves to starve when everyone around us feasted on love. It was our time to binge.” ~ Casey
“I love you, honeybee. So much. And there were times I thought I’d love you alone for the rest of my life. Loving you forever would have happened whether I got to keep you or not.” ~ Casey
I never read a book more perfect to fit the characters as this one. Every scene was set up in a way that blew me away….oh I want to talk so bad about these scenes in this review but don’t want to give anything away. I want all you readers to experience these perfect words as I did. I think I’m going to type the word perfect till I can’t type no more. I think I highlighted every word in this book…..every part made me melt in a puddle of awe! I wanted to jump into this book and be Blake for just a moment to experience the touch and look from Casey. Did I mention I want to be a honeybee, how Casey was my book lover boy now to my book hubby! So by now I think you get that I loved this book. I don’t think there is a number invented on how many stars I would give this, infinity I’ll use then! If you read Bait and Sail then you need to read this ASAP! If you haven’t experienced these yet….you have to TAKE THE BAIT, RIGHT NOW.
“Because once upon a time a curly headed boy named Casey walked into a bar and found his whole world sitting on a stool and he didn’t quite know how to handle it. And once upon a time a smoking-hot young lady named Blake offered him some trouble, not knowing what she was getting into.~ Casey

M. Mabie lives in Illinois with her husband. She writes unconventional love stories and tries to embody “real-life romance.”
She cares about politics, but will not discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne’s World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. She has always been a writer. In fact, she was born with a pen in her hand, which almost never happens. Almost.
M. Mabie usually doesn’t speak in third-person. She promises.
