Review: WILD (Wild #1) by Adriane Leigh
Synopsis
An independent woman, a controlling man, and one wild one-night stand…
Kat Kennedy moved to the rugged coast of Maine to start a new life, but encountered much more than she bargained for in dark, dangerous, and seductive Lane Wild.
Desire and temptation smolder before she succumbs to her darkest fantasies with the captivating stranger. She doesn’t expect to see him again after an explosive one-night stand leaves her breathless and craving more, but just like lightning in the darkness, he shows up in her life at the most unpredictable moments.
A sensual game of cat and mouse ensues before the attraction between them reaches a fever pitch—the magnetism combustible, the sexual tension nearly unbearable—and Kat finally abandons inhibition and explores the cunning, selfish, and sexual side of a world she’s never known.
They have the perfect non-relationship—passion-fueled nights with no strings attached—until life gets real and the past and present collide in a dangerous storm of lust and obsession.

Nicole’s Review 4 Stars
I love a dirty, naughty book as much as the next girl. I am not ashamed to admit it one bit! But…when it comes to reviewing a dirty, naughty book, I have one simple standard that the book must meet in order for me to really like it. If you take the sex and naughtiness out of the book, will there still be a good story?
I am happy to say that Wild by Adriane Leigh fulfills that requirement quite well! No joke. There is a lot of hot sex in this book…A LOT! And some of it may make some readers uncomfortable (There are some parts where there is exhibitionism and a third party involved!), but there is also a great story in all of that heat.
Kat Kennedy moves to Maine to start all over. She needs a fresh start and really doesn’t want to draw attention to herself. Unfortunately, she draws the attention of the town’s bad boy, Lane Wild. She KNOWS he is bad news, and can’t seem to stop her attraction to him. Wild, as he is known in town, is bad boy sex on a stick, with a deeper soul than anyone gives him credit for. He hides his pain behind his sexy, bad boy persona. Just like Kat, there are parts of his life he just as soon forget. What neither of them bargains for when an opportunity to scratch each other’s itch presents itself is that a one-time scratch isn’t going to cut it! Somewhere in the middle of all of their wild sex life, Lane and Kat develop a friendship that eventually becomes love. It is this love that will see them through some pretty dark times.
One of the things I loved about this book is that there is an undercurrent of danger and mystery moving in and out of the story. This is where my standard really came into play! I could have skipped the sex scenes (Okay, not ALL of them!) and still read a great story. The personalities of both Kat and Lane are relatable and funny. Their pasts are believable…this kind of crap really does happen to people! And the danger throughout the story doesn’t overshadow or hinder the story’s development in any way. (I recently read a book where the danger was so in your face that I had to look for the rest of the story!)
Anyway…I am giving Wild 4 stars. It is an easy, hot read that has more meat to it than you might expect. AND…it meets my standard for a dirty, naughty book!
