Review: UNBREAK ME by Lexi Ryan
“If you’re broken, I’ll fix you…”
I’m only twenty-one and already damaged goods. A slut. A failure. A disappointment to my picture-perfect family as long as I can remember. I called off my wedding to William Bailey, the only man who thought I was worth fixing. A year later, he’s marrying my sister. Unless I ask him not to…
“If you shatter, I’ll find you…”
But now there’s Asher Logan, a broken man who sees the fractures in my façade and doesn’t want to fix me at all. Asher wants me to stop hiding, to stop pretending. Asher wants to break down my walls. But that means letting him see my ugly secrets and forgiving him for his.
With my past weighing down on me, do I want the man who holds me together or the man who gives me permission to break?

Wow, I loved this book. I finished it and I was so inspired I wanted to make a trailer.
There was so much beauty to this story. It had me intrigued from the first page. A stink bomb in a church… WTF is going on, I thought. I scratched my head but my curiosity got the best of me. I was so glad that it did.
The way this was written has the reader captivated. The characters are dynamic and filled with depth.
Asher is super swoon worthy. Although he is a musician, there is sometimes more attention paid to the fact that Maggie is an artist. Asher is ready for Maggie. He is willing to do whatever it takes. The big question in this story is is Maggie ready?
Maggie is so broken. Her life is in pieces. There is a beauty as you watch her try to put those pieces back together. As the truth of her past unfolds you are held captive wanting to learn, what makes Maggie this way. Her boldness, and brass is somewhat refreshing. You are definitely wanting to know more of her love story.

Oh my…I’m a flipping mess, in a good way, after reading Unbreak Me! FANTASTIC read!! I could barely put this one down to go to work or do ‘life’! I was immediately caught up in Maggie’s story. It opens at the wedding of her ex-fiance’. Oh, who by the way, is marrying her sister. And she’s a bridesmaid. Can’t you say that’s eff’d up?!
Then Maggie runs across Asher. Brooding, sexy as all hell Asher. Oh, and did I mention that Will, the ex, still has feelings for Maggie? Um, complicated! And yet, there is even more layered deep in Maggie’s story that is only slowly unraveled and peeled away, bit by bit.
Some things I loved about this story – the relationships between Maggie and her sisters; the heat and intensity of Asher; Asher’s unwavering dedication to Maggie and finding who she really is under all those layers. And there is so much more to this story that would be difficult to describe without spoilers. Suffice it to say, I was broken apart the more Maggie’s past is uncovered, and slowly put back together.
Lexi Ryan did an amazing job of delivering this story from three POVs – Will, Maggie, and Asher. She also cracks you open and makes you feel all the emotions that run through this story. She also writes the scenes between Asher and Maggie with such love and heat and depth of passion. I was literally living this story with them. What a beautiful story of learning to love yourself, finding redemption, family, love, and acceptance. Highly recommended!
