Review ~~ The Anatomy of Jane by Amelia LeFay
The Anatomy of Jane
by Amelia LeFay
Jane
I’ve always been on my own. My life used to consist of nothing but work, keeping Allen out of trouble, and if I had time, sleep. Then I became their maid.
Max
Every day more than half a million people tune in to watch my show. They trust me. I know it’s because I’m the only son of the prominent Emerson family. However, I like to believe it because I’m honest no matter what story I report on. I’m honest about everything but the man I’ve been f**king for the last four years… and now her.
Wesley
First I want three things: First Maxwell Emerson and Jane Chapman both in my bed. Second, to be the best bloody chef in the country. Third, to figure out how to simultaneously get the first and second things I want without any of us getting hurt.
THREE PEOPLE.
ONE LOVE STORY….
Holy hotness…I will be honest. I have only read a few menage books and I have enjoyed them. I just never know if the m/m part will be a little too much for me…well – NOPE in this case. I WANTED MORE AND MORE AND MORE!
These characters, Wes, Max and Jane are all such strong willed, determined characters that complimented each other. None was “more important” than the other in this relationship.
Maxwell, the son of former governor and a US Senator has a secret. Maxwell, a well know political reporter himself. He’s in love and in a relationship with Wes, a well known chef. They have kept their lives and relationship between them for four years.
Jane a young woman who has had a tough life. She was abandoned as a baby in a crack house. She has grown up in foster homes and has had odd jobs to just get by. She has been is the accountant/house mother to her foster brothers strippers at his strip club. She has to move on from that and finds herself becoming a maid.
She is hired as Maxwells’ maid but never sees him for weeks. She then has the run in with him..when he’s having “relations” with Wes. Omg, that scene was a scorcher. She couldn’t help but continue to watch (and you will be glued to your kindle too)…
but the spark is there, between Wes, Max and Jane.
Their relationship is not insta love, insta-LUST is obvious but I saw a friendship/kinship and understanding form prior to any kind of sexual relationship happen between them.
I have loved this author in her other books, (she’s writing this under a pen name) she’s a wonderful writer and always has the steamy sexy in her book but also has a solid story and twists and turns that keep you reading. There is nothing missing in Anatomy of Jane. Well – except an ending…we are left with a bit of a cliffhanger but who doesn’t love a good cliffy?
