REVIEW ~~ Peace Love Resistance by Jettie Woodruff
Peace Love Resistance
I would like to tell you a story about the girl
who changed my life forever.
This is deeper than a love story,
this is a connection that most never find;
something that occurs once every few lifetimes or so.
I was written in her, she was written in me, we were written in the stars.
Before you invest your time in our story,
I should warn you. If you don’t believe in love at
first sight or you rely on an unbending system
to give your life a false sense of security and meaning,
you should probably skip our story.
On the contrary, if you can get to know us with an open mind,
pretend for a little bit that you may have been
systematically lied to your entire life,
then my hope is that Tristan will have the same impact
on you as she did me. I’m a better man because of her,
and I hope that you find something potentially life-changing in her as well.
She made me someone I didn’t know I wanted to be.
For her. For me. For humanity.

LOUISA’S LIFE CHANGING 5 STAR REVIEW
There are a few books that I have read that have made a true, meaningful change in my life. Books whose characters I truly believe, made me change the way I think, act and behave. (Therapy by Kathryn Perez, Brightside/Gus by Kim Holden are just a few that come to mind).
Peace Love Resistance is one of those books. I know, I know, it’s a book, Louisa, it can’t change your life! BUT IT CAN, THIS BOOK DID! It’s just 2 characters who fall in love and live happily ever after, right? This book is so different. This book is so much more. This book is life changing. This book is eye opening. This book will have you re-thinking everything you believe, everything you have been taught…from the clouds in the sky to the clothes you wear.
Jettie Woodruff just didn’t’ write a book about the story of 2 people, Tristan and Tobias. It’s just so much more than that. Ms. Woodruff has done her homework, she knows what she’s talking about. She opens your eyes to the overwhelming deceit in which we are taught, daily. She opens your heart to the possibilities of love and friendship. She will open your mind to change the way in which you conduct your life and possibly change the way you view everyday occurrences.
Tristan is a young woman who is born into a world of freedom and love. Her parents travel the country to teach others to think freely and to be their own persons. Tristan’s life changes when her father is found dead and her mother moves on to Clay, the antithesis of her father. Tristan plays the part of the “good girl”, but deep down, she’s not conforming to mainstream as her mother would want.
While traveling, Tristan sets up camp in a field in West Virginia, where her “twin flame” and soulmate will soon find her. During her travels, she got a free twin flame reading, which told her who it would be, and now she eagerly awaited their arrival.
I have always been fascinated by the idea of twin flames and soulmates and therefore it was so interesting to read a book that explored these concepts further. I am a very spiritual person and therefore I believe that everyone has a twin flame out there somewhere! You can learn more about twin flames by checking out this useful guide that also highlights what you can do to avoid falling for a false twin flame.
Anyway, Tobias is a high school junior, who is being punished for defacing a national monument. He’s taking the fall for his girlfriend and is hoping for a “slap on the wrist” punishment. Tobias is the total opposite of Tristan…he’s the popular kid, worrying about his followers on facebook, his upcoming beer-laden trip with his girlfriend. His punishment will forever rock his world.
The relationship between Tobias and Tristan is slow to become physical but the metaphysical relationship is from possibly, multiple lifetimes. Their connection to one another is undeniable, unbreakable and simply one we all strive for in life.
Tristan is so loving, caring and a beautiful person. She will make you want to strive to be a better person. Be accepting of others, not putting down others who may not believe what she believes.
Watching Tobias grow as a person and a man was a beautiful sight. I can see why Tristan feels the way she does.
Take the time to read this amazing book, open your mind to other possibilities and I can almost promise you, when finish, you will most likely want to LIVE IN A VAN!
And yeah – this will be a series and you will immediately want more…don’t worry! it’s coming!!
