Whoa this is one sexy read that popped up with more enthusiasm from readers than we have seen in a long time.
This book starts off with Hannah and Matt only talking online through a writers group. Because they are writers, this adds so much wit to the banter. And the banter could be described more like the sexiest talk I have ever read.
This has some bondage, but it’s not over the top. Its Hot!
This has a great story line that will leave you asking questions and speculating on future storyline.
Wow and what is more surprising than anything is the ever elusive, M. Pierce. So many questions……

M. Pierce’s Night Owl (The Night Owl Trilogy #1) might be one of the most difficult books I have had to review yet. Not because it wasn’t good!! It was GREAT! It’s just that there is so much other “stuff” swirling around this book!!!
Hannah and Matt become writing partners through an online writing forum. The setup is very simple and anonymous. They send their submissions to each other via email and send comments the same way. It is completely anonymous; no pictures, no personal details…until Hannah accidently sends Matt a picture of herself. It is at that point that the simplicity and anonymity of their relationship is over.
I am really not going to say much more about the book at this point, because I run the risk of giving away too many details of the story. Here is what I will say…I loved this book! I liked the characters and found them to be relatable. Hannah is funny and smart, and doesn’t take herself too seriously. Matt is smart and sexy like what you would expect from a sexual interest in romantic porn with just enough darkness to make him truly vulnerable. The pace of the story was so good that I literally read the book in less than a day!! I was sucked into it right away and was quite irritated when “real life” forced me to stop reading!! M. Pierce writes what could easily be a super-hot, easy read and turns into a story full of emotion and depth that actually kind of surprised me. I never expected the story to take the turn that it did, but damn if I didn’t love it!!!
I will warn you that there is some cheating in the story. I don’t know what this says about me, but it wasn’t enough to turn me off from the story. It was just an added element. There is some seriously erotic sex full of BDSM! There were several “Oh My!!” moments! I will also tell you that the story ends one way, but the Epilogue totally changes things!! And it is the Epilogue that has my head spinning!!!! Good grief! The things I have tried to piece together because of it!
I give Night Owl 4.5 stars! It has been compared to FSoG and The Crossfire Series, but it is WAY more than either of them! Read it and you will see!
Oh and M. Pierce…January? Really? We have to wait until January to see what happens next?? So, not fair!! 😉

From just the synopsis, I was intrigued with Night Owl. Two people, meeting online, writing a story together, and all that might lead from there. I admit that I love stories involving text messaging and chatting and when they involve some smokin’ hot sex too? Yes, please!
Night Owl’s description enticed me in but the story and M. Pierce’s writing kept me entranced! The story slips immediately into some sexy online moments between Matt and Hannah. There’s not a lot of back story to start but it was not needed! Through M. Pierce’s writing, Matt and Hannah came alive and I swore my ereader was going to burst into flames with how hot Night Owl was! Whew!
This is intense, hotter than hot, spicy, moody, real, naughty (thank god for ereaders in public!), intoxicating, and immediately pulled me under. It had me wanting to talk about all the erotic moments and the WTF moments. Matt was enchanting and moody and elusive. I loved that Hannah wasn’t naive and yet was just as easily entranced with Matt as I was as a reader. I could re-read this one in a heartbeat and I’ll be anxiously awaiting the second book, because really…that epilogue?! I feel like a conspiracy theorist after reading it – What’s next? Why did that happen???
