By Alice Clayton and Nina Bocci
A delicious, sexy, laugh-out-loud modern romance about a newly single woman and her journey to find love again in ROMAN CRAZY from New York Times bestselling author Alice Clayton and debut author Nina Bocci (Gallery Books; on sale September 13, 2016; Trade Paperback $16.00).
Avery Bardot steps off the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her best friend Daisy, licking her wounds—and perhaps a gelato or two. But when her American-expat friend throws her a welcome party on her first night, Avery’s thrown for a loop when she sees a man she never thought she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.
Marcello was the man—the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage and—hey, that fettuccine is delicious! And so is Marcello…
Slipping easily into the good life of summertime in Rome, Avery spends her days exploring a city that makes art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over her unexpected what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could this really be her new life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twin-set cardigans and crustless sandwiches?
A celebration of great friendship, passionate romance, and wonderful food, Roman Crazy is a lighthearted story of second chances and living life to the fullest.
LOUISA’S 4 STAR REVIEW
A sexy and funny romantic book! It has all you every would want in a book.
It’s a second chance romance but it’s even more than that! It’s a do-over. Have you ever made a decision in life and for years and years wonder if it was the right decision? Well Avery did and she’s one of the lucky ones. With in the first few pages of the book Avery walks in on her husband having sex with his secretary. You would think anger for his infidelity would be what comes first but for Avery it’s “why doesn’t he every do “that” to me”. Their marriage is stale and stalled. He has belittled her for far too long and she says “f” it…it’s not okay to leave your husband when he’s a rich successful man but Avery doesn’t care. She heads to Rome to spend time with her friend Daisy. On her first night in Rome she’s see the one guy she has’t never forgotten – Marcello. He was the boy she met while studying abroad in college. She had planned to end things with her boyfriend when she returned home but circumstances didn’t allow for that. But now, she’s a divorced (soon be divorced) woman and has the man of her dreams at her disposal.
Well if this book alone doesn’t want you to visit Rome, there is something seriously wrong with you. Marcello gives Avery the inside tour of Rome as only a Roman can do. The scenery and the culture was explained with such detail and beauty my poor husband might need to plan this trip very soon!
This isn’t a book where they just pick up where they left off but learn and grow as people and as a couple. Can they return to the life they had once hoped for?
Alice Clayton has been a long time favorite of mine and the collaboration with Nina Bocci was spot on. Between the two of these authors we have a romance that rivals the classics, the beauty of Rome, of course a few laughs and some sexy times that were off the charts “picante” and Belle e Sexy (beautiful and sexy)…
I look forward to more collaboration between Alice and Nina – I wonder where they will be taking me next!

Nina Bocci is a novelist, publicist, eternal optimist, unabashed lipgloss enthusiast, constant apologist, and a hopeless romanticist. She has too many college degrees that she’s not using and a Lego addiction that she blames on her son.
