Review for What Doesn’t Destroy Us, M.N. Forgy
When Dani’s sheltered life is turned upside down by her mother’s secrets, she finds protection with her estranged outlaw father. Against all warnings, she falls for bad boy biker, Shadow. He is beast and beauty sealed in a leather cut with a gun holster. Can Dani learn to live within the Club rules? Is she more like her father than she could imagine?
Shadow has grown up among drug addicts, whores and murderers. The only family he’s ever trusted has been the Devil’s Dust motorcycle club. He will do anything for a brother; even kill. In fact, killing is so easy, he’s made a career of it. His one regret is not being able to kill his own worthless mother. When Dani shows up with her provocative temper and innocent charm, Shadow begins to question his violent lifestyle. But can he trust her with his demons?
Will Dani and Shadow let family ties destroy them
Kristine’s 4.5 star Review
Calling all Hot Sexy biker lovers!!! These are ones to meet….Bull, Locke, Bobby and Shadow are just a few at Devil’s Dust Motorcycle Club. Mixed with bar sluts, parties, guns, killing, and much more this reminds me of watching my ever favorite Sons of Anarchy! I was taken in at page one! All I gotta say is M.N Forgy knows how to tell hot sexy, panty dripping M.C stories!
Dani is introduced into the world of cray cray, never a moment of peace motorcycle club. After finding out some secrets of her past, shared from her over bearing mom. The daughter of the very tough and scary President of Devils Dust, how is she to fit in after living blind to this for 21 years. She’s very naïve and has no idea what she just walked into. Just wait, there are so many things she is about to learn about the club and herself.
Then there is Shadow ( I love bad boys with issues!!) having some dark demons that follow him and having lived a very rough life, he found himself joining the brother hood of Devil’s Dust, the only family he has.
Now this is where this hawt as hell story begins……………
Dani and Shadow worlds collide
And when they do
they have to hide it…..
“I know messing with shadow is a signed death certificate but I can’t shake the magnetism I have for him.” ~ Dani
Hide their raw and animalist attraction??? omg, this was so exciting!!
He thought it was something to get out of his system, all she knew is that she craved him. It wasn’t that simple…
“Every time I’m around her, I can feel more of my wall of distrust crumble. It scares the shit out of me that I can let her in where nobody has been before. If she sees the beast I am, will she take flight?” ~ Shadow
The Angst in this story drew me in. The action and suspense of this all, had me hooked. Personal walls are breaking and secrets are being told. These two had my heart melting. You did this M.N Forgy and thank you very much! There is so much left to be told and that means that you should read this. This is M.N Forgy’s debut and to be perfectly honest, I would not have know it. My favorite things about this story is meeting the characters and reading about the life in their club. I fell in love with their company, personalities, snide remarks, even though they are bad boys living in a dark world, you fall in love with each and everyone of them. M.N Forgy brings these characters alive with such a unique style. They are complex, seeing all parts of them, the dark and dirty and the sweet and beauty. The back story is told with precise description putting a clear picture in your head. There is action, suspense and surprise that will have you coming back for more. I give this story a 4.5 stars, bringing me all my much needed emotions when I read a story. So come on and meet these bad biker babes of Devil Dust!!
“That fire that lives so deep within you, that fire that makes you my Firefly, I’m afraid my darkness will snuff it out; take you under and make you someone different.” ~Shadow
“Fireflies can’t live without the dark.” ~ Dani
M.N. Forgy was raised in Missouri where she still lives with her family. She’s a soccer mom by day and a saucy writer by night. M.N. Forgy started writing at a young age but never took it seriously until years later, as a stay-at-home mom, she opened her laptop and started writing again. As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn’t live with the “what if” anymore and finally took a chance on her character’s story. So, with her glass of wine in hand and a stray Barbie sharing her seat, she continues to create and please her fans.
