Kenzie and Hayden’s story picks up right were Furious Rush left off. I needed to know how these two would overcome their obstacles. Their pasts, their families, their friends were all against them being together, but for them – being together was inevitable and with or without support they will make it work. But with so many outside forces against them, their relationship will be put to the test, time and time again.

Hayden’s inexperience with relationships (familial and dating) is non-exsistant and often is the biggest obstacle these two faced. (Of course there was Keith and Felecia who were there to cause some havoc). I often wanted to grab Hayden and shake him and tell him “be honest with Kenzie”, but I had to remind myself that he was never shown a “normal” relationship, so he’s flying by the seat of his pants for this. His intentions are noble and he wants to help Kenzie, provide the world to Kenzie but it may just blow up in his face.

Kenzie – a girl who has worked her life in a man’s world is out of the loop, forced to be something she’s not, but to support Hayden is necessary. It may break her and their relationship but she’s trying to be supportive and it’s killing her.

I loved this book more than the last, I felt more in touch with these characters, got to know them more, see who they really were and that’s what was lacking in the 1^st book for me. I love SC Stephen’s work and I am so glad that I enjoyed this book as much as I did. I felt the sadness as if it were my own, I rejoiced in their happiness and cried with their tears. SC Stephen’s has a way with her words that will have you reading with white knuckles, needing to know everything about Hayden and Kenzie and their lives.
