STEPHANIE’S 4 “Hate to see it end” Blush Review

Fans of the Deliver series have been waiting for the conclusion and Complicate is here! Cole Hartman was a man of mystery throughout the series. Coming to the rescue when the Freedom Fighters were in need. At the end of Dominate, we learned that Cole’s story was part of the Tangled Lies Trilogy (I had no idea). Needless to say, I completely binged on that after Dominate and couldn’t wait to see what would happen! Would Cole ever get over Danni? Who could possibly be strong and crazy enough to be Cole’s other half? Cole was devastated when he set Danni free. He knew that although they loved each other, her heart belonged to Trace. This devil was far more deadly, possessive, protective, deeply passionate, and complicated. The first half of the story is a slow and tortuous journey that ends in a sexual explosion. Cole finds himself in a compromising position with Lydia Pictam at the center of it. Lydia was a mystery for most of the story. When her layers are finally peeled away you are exhausted from the emotional and heartbreaking baggage that remains. True to his character Cole is protective, possessive and dedicated. What she felt for him was real and raw and unbearable. Pam has had some amazing stories with insane twists. There is quite a plot twist that was unexpected and some might say taken right from the headlines…. I was surprised at the direction that the story went in. I really struggled with it. Since Complicate is book #9 in the series I pushed through to see it to the end. This wasn’t over. Not the job. And not this other thing…this unresolved connection. Pam Godwin has once again pushed the limits as the Deliver series concludes. At times I found it hard to believe that her characters could be redeemed. Once again our redemption is here. Truly an amazing series for the #DarkRomance lover!
