This was written from a dual perspective. Georgia Danvers and Bronson Cortez are both very different but have some similar traits. Georgia has a gift even though she feels like she’s cursed. She vowed never to use it again because she was told she was a witch, no good for nothing growing up. She’s made a life for herself as a medical examiner, but when the dead start speaking, she starts to freak out.

Bronson Cortez is a feared gang leader of the Scorpions. Things are heating up in his town, and he’s leaving no stone unturned. Bronson is running out of time before the next body falls. Georgia and Bronson cross paths which is fun because Georgia is sassy and doesn’t back down from the feared gang leader. Bronson had never met a woman like Georgia, and it knocked him off this game. They challenge each other, which gives us some banter, but can these two work together to solve the mystery, or will they kill each other?
