A TRUE STORY told through the voice of New York Times Bestselling author E.K. Blair.
She’s an author.
She’s a mother.
She’s a wife.
She’s a fraud.
A woman marked and bound by her own deceit, this is the astounding tale of how one choice knocked her world from its axis forcing her to battle through a year of scandal and betrayal, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
This is an intoxicatingly risqué stand-alone true story tangled in lust, heartbreak, and contrition.
RELEASING AUGUST 29TH!
A book written about an author’s real life by another author…it’s pure genius.
I began reading, intrigued, my mind plagued with “who’s this author?”, “have I read her before?”, “I NEED to know who this is!”, but as I kept reading, the need subsided. I needed to read more, to get into her brain more.
I can say this – you may not like her and it’s probably best that you never know who she is because you may never want to read her books again after reading this story. However, it’s a story we can all relate to, it’s a story of choices made, a story of regret, a story about remorseful choices, bad decisions and indecision. We have all had these moments, maybe not with the severity of Tori/Madison’s choices.
The story gives us the inside world of a writer, attending signings, the camaraderie between authors, their fans, and bloggers. It also gives us the out of public view of this wife and mother. It also shows us what most women wonder after reading romance novels.
Will we ever get those butterflies back in our stomachs when our partners walk in the room?
Will our husbands ever measure up to the book boyfriends we read about?
I think we can all agree that what we read in books is fantasy, but unfortunately we all continue to gauge our relationships to the the ones we read in books. But this author, she takes it to the next level. She begins to believe that the fantasy can be reality.
My emotions were all over the place, sad for her insecurities in her life, frustrated with her disloyalty to her family, angry with her actions and her overall indecisiveness but for me, that’s what make this book “un-put-down-able”! <—— not sure that’s even a word. But that’s how I felt, I read it in one sitting.
I am not sure this book is for everyone. I am afraid people may not like the book because of the choices Tori makes. Many forget that this character is human, she made mistakes, she was brave enough to share her story for all of us to hear. Remember that while reading. For me- it was such a great inside look to a woman and author. It shows us the imperfections in life and how one woman handles herself in the moments that will change her life and future forever. You could be this woman, I could be this woman…any of us could be this woman.
