In January 2015 I was introduced to Liam and Melody in Ruthless People, then followed their journey in American Savages in March of 2015…then The Untouchables in May of 2015 and then over one year later I have finally been blessed with A Bloody Kingdom. When JJ McAvoy began this series I would have never know that it would be my all time favorite Mafia series EVER.
Melody and Liam have lived unbelievable lives. Endured ups an downs like no one could ever imagine and they have always landed on their feet, and still on a pedestal. A Bloody Kingdom is aptly named. There is absolute destruction in this book at every turn. It’s relentless, but necessary. Mel and Liam will stop at nothing to protect their family and children. We see a different side of Mel and Liam as parents, but as quickly as we see their love and softness towards their family, we see their ultimate fight when protecting their family and it’s name.
This book left me with a myriad of emotions. I cried (more than once), my jaw dropped in surprise (more than once) and laughed out loud (more than once). One of my favorite experiences with this series was the banter between Mel and Liam. You would think these untouchable, ruthless savages would be doom and gloom and bloody episodes, well there is that- but through it all they kept me laughing with how much they teased each other and showed their love for each other through humor.
J.J. McAvoy has outdone herself once again with this conclusion to an epic mafia love story. This book will surely keep you UP ALL NIGHT READING! The beautiful writing will bring you into Chicago with Mel and Liam and you will be the fly on the wall watching the mayhem unfold. Just absolute perfection for me!

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the summer. If you love Mafia series — this one is amazing! OMFG- JJ McAvoy has written a hit and it hit in the nail. I loved everything about this series and this is the perfect ending to it. I couldn’t stop reading this I was so invested from the moment I opened the first page
