I must preface this review by saying my latest girl crush is Shari J Ryan. This book has blown me away and I love her storytelling and writing is beautiful…

This story was so unique, past and present in the lives of Dani & Layne and Aly. Dani, a young teen mother whose decision to be a teen mother was not her own. A tragic moment in her young life but a life-altering moment to be a mom.

Layne, an up and coming local rock star catches meets Dani and his life is forever changed.

This story shows us when they met and 10 years later, facing a fight of their life. A medical diagnosis that will change their lives forever.

Shari J. Ryan once again captured me within just a few pages and kept me reading and had me UP ALL NIGHT. Layne is more than a book boyfriend (become Husband), he’s the soul mate and kindred spirit to Dani. He was more than anyone could ask for in a husband. His dedication and commitment to Dani were unflappable. He would give her his life if he could.

Shari J. Ryan is a beautiful writer and her ability to invoke a range of emotions in me while reading is astounding. She has outdone herself with this beautiful story.

I did double duty while reading Shattered Stars – I listened to Last Words at the same time..not the best idea I have ever had. Both books were packed full of emotions that my mind wasn’t ready to handle at the same time!
