#ReleaseDayReview ~~ Meet Me On Love Lane by Nina Bocci
Louisa’s 4 Blush Review
In the second installment of this series (Hopeless Romantic) – Nina Bocci has given us a small-town romance the likes of a Hallmark movie!
This time of year everyone is gearing up for Hallmark Christmas movies, but I am going to suggest – Hallmark Summer Movies and this book needs to be the first movie made.
Charlotte’s return to Hope Lake after her life in NYC has fallen apart. She hasn’t been there since she was a child and little did she know she has memories that have molded her.
Charlotte is broken, but slowly she’s returning to her glory. Learning to forgive herself and love herself too. She’s funny, smart, driven and a bit indecisive at times. But seriously – choosing between the hot English teacher (who was her childhood best friend) and the new town doctor who looks like Idris Elba isn’t an easy decision. Both of these men offer two different paths and Charlotte doesn’t know which road to take. Henry is the unsung hero, the quiet guy who just goes along with the flow, doesn’t ruffle any feathers but is the all-around good guy. But he wants want he wants – commitment and long term and Charlotte isn’t sure that’s what she’s looking for…or is she?
The cast of characters in this story is what made me love it even more:
Charlotte – a driven, but a lost woman who returns to her childhood town. You want the best for her after everything she’s been through.
Emma – the best BFF ever (who we fell in love with in On The Corner Of Love and Hate.
Cooper & Evan – the childhood friends of Charlotte’s who made me laugh through the entire book.
Henry – oh Henry, the ultimate man – the hot English teacher, volunteer at the local bookstore with the town’s kids (swoon) and all-around good guy.
Dr. Max – the new doc in town who has all the locals attention
Gigi – Charlotte’s grandmother who is an absolute spitfire and also had me cracking up through the entire book.
Another sweet, small-town romance with just a touch of spice…I love this kind of book, it just makes me smile.
Kerry’s 4 Blush Review
Charlotte Bishop hasn’t been home in decades. Even though she doesn’t remember Hope Lake since leaving after her parent’s divorce. She moved to New York with her mother and has never returned, until now.
Charlotte finds herself out of options and between jobs. She decides to go to Hope Lake, the one place she never thought she would find herself again. Charlotte doesn’t remember anything about growing up in this magical small town until some flashback starts happening.
Charlotte doesn’t think love is something she will find. Dr. Maxwell works with her Dad. Dr. Max has all the women in Hope Lake wanting his attention, but he has eyes for Charlotte. She’s not sure how she feels about him, though…
Charlotte and Henry have so much history. Henry finds himself falling in love with Charlotte. Henry doesn’t want a part-time or long-distance relationship, so Charlotte’s decision as to which man is best for her is the question of the day!
Hope Lake is set in a small town. It’s about family and friendship. I have enjoyed reading this series; it is heartwarming, humorous, and has joyful moments.
By the way – Charlotte’s grandma is a hoot! Omg, she had me in stitches with her antics and spunk. I want to be like her when I get old.

Meet Me on Love Lane
(Hopeless Romantics #2)
Charlotte Bishop is out of options in New York City. Fired, broke, and blacklisted by her former boss, she’s forced to return to her hometown of Hope Lake, PA to lick her wounds. Although she’s expecting to find a miserable place with nothing to do, she is pleasantly surprised to discover it is bustling and thriving.
She’s only supposed to be in Hope Lake temporarily until she can earn enough money to move back to New York. She’s not supposed to reconnect with her childhood friends or her beloved grandmother. She’s not supposed to find her dream job running the local florist shop. And she’s definitely not supposed to fall for not one but two of Hope Lake’s golden boys: one the beloved high school English teacher, the other the charming town doctor.
With a heart torn between two men and two cities, what’s a girl to do?
A perfect blend of humor and heart, Meet Me on Love Lane is the second in a new series from USA TODAY bestselling author Nina Bocci that is sure to charm fans of Josie Silver and Sally Thorne.
