#ReleaseBlitz~~Unforgivable by Isabel Love
Louisa’s 4.5 Blush Review
I am telling you right now – Isabel Love is one of my newest most favoritist author!! (is that even a thing?). I am just obsessed with her writing.
This book was great! There are so many things I love about it. I am a HUGE fan of “brother’s best friend” books, but truly Wes was Anna’s friend too. Growing up 2 years older than her, Wes was a part of her family. Wes was in foster care and Anna’s parents took him in as one of their own. Even with the 2-year difference, their friendship remained. As it usually does, high school hits and things begin to change. Wes never thought he was good enough for Anna and all Anna ever wanted was Wes.
Some bad decisions, on both their parts, change them both forever. This book spans their childhood to adulthood. A story of friendship, sadness, redemption, forgiveness, and love are evident through this book, giving you a full circle of emotions while reading. Unlike Isabel Love’s other books, this book is definitely more of a slow burn, but holy crap when they do collide we see the signature “holy shit, that’s HOT AF” that I have adore about Isabel Love books!
Christina’s 4 Blush Review
I don’t know why I’m so surprised at how much I LOVE Isabel Love every time I finish one of her books. Unforgivable is no exception. It is heartbreaking at times and yes, there are some darker themes woven throughout the book but the result is a rich, satisfying story with one hell of a slow burn romance. And by slow burn….I mean slooowwwwww burn. But it’s all part of he magic. When the hero and heroine FINALLY come together it’s explosive. I could actually hear fireworks in the distance when these two finally gave in to one another.
Individually, they had so much healing to do. Yes, these characters are flawed and have made life-altering mistakes (or what they perceive to be mistakes). Of course, we’re rooting for them the entire way. We feel their pain, their loss and heartbreak. I loved the hero and the heroine is a well developed and strong character so tragically plagued by her past choices that she’s hardly coping in the present. They saved each other in every possible way and watching that happen is nothing short of beautiful.
One of my favorite parts of this book is actually the dedication, so be sure to read it. It’s beautiful, honest and above all inspiring.
against the dresser as he drills screws into the underside so that they remain
hidden from view. It’s like magic. I study him as he works. He tilts his head this way and that to make sure the piece is level before he starts. Then, he lifts the drill, and taut muscles shine with sweat as he drives each screw into the boards with purpose. His forearms flex and jump with every
movement. And his tattoo calls my eye to follow the bumps and dips of his biceps and triceps. Wesley Scott is a perfectly sculpted specimen of man. He’s strong. Confident. Capable. He catches me staring and winks, rewarding me with his rare, crooked grin. I feel myself flush as I quickly look away, totally busted. No, I don’t mind helping him one bit.
Isabel Love is a hopeless romantic. She loves reading about two people falling in love, overcoming whatever obstacles they may face, and finding their happily ever after. A husband, two kids, and a full-time job keep her busy by day, but by night, she can be found with her Kindle in hand, reading “just one more chapter”.
