From Samantha Towle, the New York Times bestselling author of Wardrobe Malfunction and Breaking Hollywood, comes a dramatically powerful and passionate new contemporary romance.

And the new heavyweight champion of the world is…

Those are the words that Zeus Kincaid has been waiting to hear since he first put on a pair of boxing gloves. He just didn’t think they would come with a tragedy that would change how he viewed the sport forever.

Cameron Reed was in her second year at Juilliard when her childhood sweetheart, Zeus Kincaid, walked away from her. A few months later, Cam realized that she would never fulfill her dream of dancing for the New York City Ballet.

Now working as a dancer in an upscale club in Manhattan, Cam is brought face-to-face with the man she once loved. And it’s her turn to walk away from him.

After five years of missing Cam, Zeus isn’t prepared to let her go again. But when he finds himself standing on her doorstep the next morning, things don’t go quite as he expected…

Zeus Kincaid is a star in the ring. He’s a championship fighter, but he’s about to have to fight for his personal life. Zeus lost the love of his life five years ago, but he can’t let her go.
Zeus comes back to the one place that holds so many memories where he comes face to face with Cameron Reed. Cameron knows Zeus has to find a way to make things right. Cameron sees heartache when she sees Zeus. There’s no way she will let him back in. Cameron is hiding a secret from Zeus. Once he finds out, things got very interesting.
These two have loved each other since they were teenagers. The love they had was so passionate the sparks never died. It’s a beautifully written second chance romance that is full of emotions. Gigi and Elle were characters you could fall in love with as well. I read this in one sitting. It’s been awhile since I had a book consume me. Samantha knows how to grab her readers hook, line, and sinker.

From the moment we meet Zeus and Cam, I love them together.  As they grow up and their lives begin to change, Zeus is given the opportunity to be a professional boxer as Cam is fulfilling her dreams of being at Julliard. Then the unthinkable happens and these two are ripped apart.

Five years later, Zeus sees Cam across a crowded bar and the sparks begin to fly.  Cam doesn’t want to get burned but Zeus isn’t going to give up.

As they begin to find a relationship that works for both of them, the truth comes out and Zeus regrets ever making that unthinkable phone call five years ago.  Zeus is one swoony man, this book is more than just a second chance romance, it’s layered and in-depth and heartfelt.

There is so much more to this book than I am saying, you just need to read this beautiful story of finding love again, redeeming yourself to your loved ones and doing everything you can to get your HEA.  Samatha Towle always captivates me with her beautiful stories and writing and has once again “gots me” with Ruin.
