Amo Jones loves providing for my need of dark reads. I’ve read so many of her books so I obviously was thrilled to pick up Manik. I really had to wrap my mind around this book. It is by far the best Amo Jones book yet. Despite having read read many of her books, this one is even darker than her previous.
Aeron “Manik “ Romanov-Reed owes Bea. He was trained to be many things, but being a killer was what he did best. Beatrice “Bea” Kennedy thought she knew who she was until her world was turned upside down. Amo Jones always writes a strong heroine. Bea has been through tragic circumstances but she never lets it rule her. When she stands against some dark dangerous men, she will still stand tall. Manik has a dark, deprived side, and everyone fears him. He has a way of bringing the dark out in people even when they had no idea it existed. However, Bea sees something no one else sees. Their story is fierce and full of twists. It is crazy intense like most of Amo’s stories. I really enjoyed the secondary characters as well.
Amo kept my interest throughout the entire story. What a thrill! Her imagination and creativity is one that literally scares me. LOL! She slayed me with Manik. It’s always hard to pick a favorite, but this one, by far, is it.
