Genre: Young Adult Romance
Synopsis:
He’s not perfect, but he’s all I want…
I’m your average girl at your average high school, trying to figure out my place in life. After catching my now ex-boyfriend messing around with my now ex-best friend, I’ve made some big changes. No more band, no more backstabbing friends and no more boring old life. Now I have new friends, a new job and new interests.
But there’s a certain someone who’s interested in me, and I don’t get it. Jordan Tuttle could have anyone he wants. He’s the most popular boy in school. Rich, gorgeous, smart and the star quarterback, he’s perfect. Yet he acts like he wants no one else but…me.
So despite my fears and doubt, I let him get close. Probably too close. I discover that he’s not so perfect after all, but it doesn’t matter. I’m falling for him, even though he runs so hot and cold. I know someday he’s going to break my heart.
And I’m going to let him.

STEPHANIE’S 4 STAR REVIEW
Monica Murphy nails it again! This is the second book in the series. The first book, ‘Just Friends’ is filled with lots of YA/teen/high school drama. And this was not too far behind it capturing the drama, angst and sometimes rollercoaster ride that comes along with being a high school teenager. This time Monica is focused on the mysterious Jordan Tuttle and Amanda Winters.
Amanda is an ex-band geek, football lover and basic nerd. Jordan Tuttle is the hot high school quarter back with a wealthy family, popular and all around “God”.
His confidence makes me crazy. He’s so sure of himself, and I wish I had even an ounce of his self-assuredness. I don’t. Not even close. He lives in another realm.
Jordan is aloof but completely enamored by Amanda. Amanda very much feels the same way but is afraid of getting hurt again. Jordan is more than he gives himself credit for but his home life is less than stellar. After all, money can’t buy you happiness. I really enjoyed the characters this time around. Amanda is smart, sensitive and honest.
“What happened last night between us was….” “Real”
This book captures all of the elements of our youth that we both want to reminisce about or hide in a closet and forget! I definitely recommended that you read Just Friend first because it lays the foundation for the characters. I drank the Kool-Aide with ‘Just Friends’ and I’m coming back for another glass!
Hurry up! I need to see where this goes!!!
