Bright lights blinded from above and gleamed against the stark white floor. I hurtled down the narrow hall, desperate for escape.

AL Jackson – the queen of BIG BOOKS. I absolutely LOVE when I open a book and begin to read and my kindle says 6 hour left in the book! It makes me so damn excited!!
I so loved reading Baz and Shea’s story and have been waiting impatiently for Lyrik and Tamar’s story. I have to say, AL Jackson delivered!
Tamar with a hidden past we know is there, a small part of the story we learned in previous books, she just shows up at Charlie’s and Charlie takes her in like family. She has become a part of Charlie and Shea’s lives and by association, she has become a part of Lyrik’s life. She’s the tattooed, made up, red haired vixen, or at least that what she wants everyone to believe.
Lyrik, not unlike Tamar, has a past. His whoreish ways precede him and Tamar wants and needs NO part of that. The only problem? The buzz, the buzz before the lightening strike. It’s palpable between the two and they have been denying their attraction, their pull for a while now, but what happens when the lightening finally strikes is what this book will have you turning page by page by page.
AL Jackson is a beatiful writer, she has you walking the streets of Savannah, sitting in the corner booth at Charlie’s doing shots with Sunder. She has the ability to transport you into her characters lives.
Like I said earlier, this book is long and I may have abandoned by family for most of a Friday night and Saturday morning/afternoon, I couldn’t stop reading, I just couldn’t. I needed to know where these two would end up.
This book has angst, (throw you kindle out the window angst)

and I am pretty sure I looked like this at one point while reading
AL Jackson takes you on a role coaster of emotions with this book but you will fall in love with Lyrik and you may find that Tamar is the girl you want her to be, a brave, beautiful and loyal friend. I also can’t forget to mention that if AL Jackson wants to – I will surely be up for a Ash book I love that cocky SOB!!
