Hushed Torment begins a little after Whiskey Burning ends. It’s Amalie and Malakai’s story. Malakai is so sweet. He’s the ultimate bad boy with an enormous heart.

You must read Whiskey Burning before reading this as there isn’t much backstory for you to comfortably understand who all the players are or what’s happening.
Amalie, we learned in Whiskey burning is a musician and she is brilliant. There was a lot I liked about her. I liked how she overcame things, and I liked her quiet strength.
I also loved Scarlet so much from the first book, I wish I got more of her story because I felt at the end of Whiskey Burning like I needed more and I had high hopes that I would have more here.
This is a much sweeter MC than Bella Jewels other MC’s. So if dark and dangerous is what you are looking for, you won’t find that here. What you will find is a really sweet love story with likable characters and a few hot scenes!
