Hot Stuff is a standalone sports romance book. I really enjoyed it! Lucas Carrington is the newly drafted quarterback for the Chicago Bears. Football is his life. It is what has kept him out of trouble growing up. Life was not always sweet. It was his dream to play professional football, just not in his hometown of Chicago. Lucas is confident, cool & cocky with a body and talent to back it up!
Initially, he has a bad attitude which leads to some good advice from his coach:
“Do the things that matter, and even those that don’t, the right way and you just might make it, Lucas. Stay on the destructive path you’re on, and there’s no way you will go anywhere but out the door.”
So, with a better attitude he starts training camp and as luck would have it literally runs into one of the athletic trainers – Gillian Whitney. This is her last football training camp before completing her final college semester. She’ll graduate with a doctorate in athletic training. Gillian is sassy, intelligent, athletic and…the coach’s daughter. She quickly gives Lucas the nickname Hot Stuff.
Lucas and Gillian both have that push and pull toward each other. Their chemistry is off the charts! They both have baggage and serious reasons to deny their attraction to each other. But sometimes, you just can’t help yourself!
This was a fun, sexy, sweet, with a touch of angst story. I really enjoyed it. The story flowed nicely and I loved the epilogue!
