Release Blitz & Reviews ~~ The Silent Waters by Brittainy C. Cherry
I’ve had many moments in my lifetime, moments that changed me, challenged me. Moments that scared me and engulfed me. However, the biggest ones—the most heartbreaking and breathtaking ones—all included him.
I was ten years old when I lost my voice. A piece of me was stolen away, and the only person who could truly hear my silence was Brooks Griffin. He was the light during my dark days, the promise of tomorrow, until tragedy found him. Tragedy that eventually drowned him in a sea of memories.
This is the story of a boy and girl who loved each other, but didn’t love themselves. A story of life and death. Of love and broken promises.

TERA’S 5 AMAZING UP ALL NIGHT STAR REVIEW
“If books had taught me anything, it was that dreaming was always a worth cause to take part in.”
I have devoured Brittainy Cherry all year long because I was apparently late to the party. She has mesmerized me with her words time and time again. She has slowly worked her way up to probably one of my top 5 authors ever. The Silent Waters is no exception. Once again her words took me on a roller coaster of emotions ranging from happy, to pissed, to hopeful, to surprised all for her to fix my heart at the end.
Brittainy’s strong suit is her characters and not a single one is left out in this book. She wraps each one up very nicely in this book. She also includes so many references to amazing pieces of literature and music. There is always something poetic and artistic about Brittainy’s books.
“A person never reads an outstanding book twice and walks away with the same beliefs. An outstanding book always surprises you and awakens you to new ideas, new ways of looking at the world, no matter how many times the words have been read.”
“People could hide their true selves for awhile, but over time, the masks always fell off.”
Just grab this book and devour it. I know you will. And once you read this one, read all of her others. Brittainy has NEVER disappointed me and The Silent Waters is no exception.
LOUISA’S 4.5 STAR REVIEW
Brittainy Cherry has an unbelievable gift. The gift to tell stories with sadness, heartache, beauty and triumph. She has given us these beautiful characters who are so broken and so vulnerable in spirit. She takes them and makes them whole again with love, perseverance and loyalty.
Brooke and Maggie will heal your heart. Maggie, at a young age was the best friends little sister, the annoying one, but she knew from very early on that Brooks would be her forever person. Brooks may have found that annoying but there was always this little pull to defend her and include her from a young age. When a life altering moment happens to Maggie and she’s no longer the easy going talkative annoying Maggie, he knows that Maggie will be his forever girl. He promises to be her anchor and even her voice. As they grow older, Maggie continues to keep quiet but the interactions between Brooks and Maggie become more intimate and beautiful.
“There’s this magnetic pull of friendship between us, Maggie May. You’re my magnet.”
To watch there lives change over a lifetime, to see them both struggle and grow kept me riveted to this book. I believe everything you feel while reading this will change you. It will imprint on your soul and have you feeling every emotion these characters felt. It’s a book that takes your from childhood to adulthood, from devastation to redemption. Just another beautiful story told by an author who has captivated me from the first book she ever wrote!
“The world keeps spinning because your heartbeats exist.”
