There once was a boy, and I loved him.Logan Francis Silverstone and I were complete opposites. I danced, and he stood still. He was quiet, while I ran my mouth. He struggled to find a smile, and I refused to frown.
The night I saw the darkness that truly lived inside of him, I couldn’t look away.
We were broken together, yet somehow whole. We were wrong together, but always right. We were the stars that burned across the night sky, searching for a wish, praying for better tomorrows.
Until the day I lost him. He threw us away with one hasty decision–a decision that changed us forever.
There once was a boy, and I loved him.
And for a few breaths, a few whispers, a few moments, I think he loved me, too.
LOUISA’S 4.5 STAR REVIEW
I honestly believe that this author can’t write a bad book…Seriously, with each book I fall in love with her writing style, her character and her beautiful mind.
From the moment that Alyssa and Logan meet, the beauty of their friendship is plain to see. They often say opposites attract, and these two people could be epitome of that old adage. She was from an affluent family who loved and cared for her. He from a home of drug abuse and sadness.
“Because if you judge him solely on his few moments of lows, then you miss out on his beautiful highs.”
Brittainy has the ability to enter my soul with her characters. Logan feel that he wasn’t good enough for Alyssa but as an outsider I saw the Alyssa would be the one to heal him.
“You’re okay, Logan Francis Silverstone.”
“I’m okay, Alyssa Marie Walters.”
There are parts in this book that I couldn’t stop crying, reading through the tears became impossible. It wasn’t just from the relationship between Alyssa and Logan but the relationship between Kellan and Erika (they are Alyssa and Logan’s siblings who are dating) that becomes a vital part of their story.
There is absolute heartbreak and sadness in this book but also triumph and glory. Once I began reading, I couldn’t stop. Pencil in time to read this book, you will need to do it all at once because this book, these characters will catch you and not let go!
Brittainy has once again rocked my world with her words!
Side Note: Dear Brittainy – your last book cover featured Franggy Yanez and this cover was shot by him…Keep him either on your cover’s or shooting your covers!! I love them both!
