Release Blitz and Reviews for Jake Understood and Jake Undone by Penelope Ward
From the New York Times bestselling author of Jake Undone, comes a full-length standalone companion novel and sequel.
A different side to the story: Jake’s side.
“We’re getting a new roommate,” they said.
I thought nothing of it…until she walked in the door. Her hand trembled in mine as she looked at me with fearful eyes. My entire world spun on its axis.
Nina…
It was a mismatch made in heaven: innocent girl from the boonies moves in with tattooed, pierced, badboy engineer.
I came up with a bet, a plan to tutor her in math and coach her through her phobias. What I wasn’t betting on was becoming addicted to her.
But I was living a double life on weekends, and once she found out about it, she’d be gone.
I had to protect myself and that meant one thing: I couldn’t fall in love.
In Jake Understood, pivotal scenes from Jake Undone are retold from Jake’s point of view combined with all-new material from both the past and present time where Jake Undone left off. It can stand alone but if both books are read, should follow Jake Undone. Contains graphic sexual content and harsh language. It is only appropriate for adult readers age 18+.

Dawn’s Review for Jake Undone
4 effortlessly stars!!!
First things first, I positively adore Jake Green and his sexy ass piercings!! Yowza! Jake Undone is my first Penelope Ward book and guess what? I loved it. I don’t know how I haven’t read her before and what the hell took me so long. Better late them never. Ever start reading a book and think, oh this is nice… It seems fun, flirty, then all of a sudden it’s BAM and it goes in a different direction???!! You are like what the hell? I didn’t see that coming. That’s Jake Undone. Very deceiving and so smartly constructed. It has an incomparable storyline that flows effortlessly. I loved Penelope’s writing style. She draws you in and keeps you there. Her characters are lovely and have depth.
It’s a story about two completely opposite people finding each other. Both existing in the world but not living. Just going through the motions. Sadly having all the odds against them….. Nina is beautiful, sweet and innocent. She has lived a sheltered life and has some extreme phobias. Which seem to rule her life. She decides to moved In with her childhood friend Ryan and two other roommates, Tarah and a very gorgeous JAKE. Jake is not her usual type but her attraction to him is immediate! I must explain the wonders of Jake… He’s a total contradiction. Hard and soft. Dark and light. He appears to be your typical bad boy with his tattoos and piercings, but he is unconditionally tender inside. His smoldering looks aren’t his only attribute. He’s brilliant, loyal and compassionate. Did I mention, he’s quite the jokester too??!! Proving the point to never ever judge a book by its cover. Jake was not what I expected at all. I love when a guy presents himself one way, but then you get a peak inside and the view is spectacular! Jake is your mother’s worst nightmare and Prince Charming rolled into one! When Jake finds out about Nina’s phobias, he finds a clever and endearing way to help her. This is your first glimpse of his beautiful soul and their unbreakable connection. Jake and Nina are the epitome of soulmates. Their connection is not only physical but mental. As they get closer and closer, it’s apparent that Jake has secrets. He is hiding something…. when you find out what it is your heart will hurt for him! Can they survive the truth once it is out????
Jake Undone is so ingeniously done in two parts. The First half is in Nina’s POV. It’s sweet, fun and flirty. Then there’s the second half and IT IS ON!! It’s starts off as just Jake’s POV but then goes back and forth. It’s emotional, sexy and heart-wrenching. Just another contradiction in the book. Light and dark!! There are very unexpected twists and turns that will keep you on your toes and wanting more. I was quite pleased with the characters development. As the story progressed, they evolved, matured and grew up. I also must mention that Ms. Penelope is one kinky author. There were a couple of scenes that I had never read before. Things that made me go HUMMM, but I ultimately liked it! This book is sexy and will feed all your book cravings! I am thrilling that I finally read a Penelope Ward book. I am looking forward to the rest.

They say never judge a book by it’s cover well that should go the same for people. Jake is a beautiful mysterious man with tattoos and piercings, But no one knows the real Jake.Nina is reserved, closed off, she has is afraid of planes, heights, and elevators. But once she meets Jake he has her feeling and living again. This a beautiful story of friendship that is formed between roommates, there friendship starts to grow into so much more Jake and Nina try and fight there feelings for one another but the chemistry is so hot it sizzles. Jake has been living in his own private hell for years and he doesn’t know how Nina is going to handle the truth, but once it’s out there’s no going back. Nina can’t believe how selfless Jake has been and she tries to understand. This my first book by Penelope Ward and won’t be my last, her writing style draws you in. This is a beautiful story, heartbreaking at times but will have you laughing too.
