Once Upon a Kiss by Carina Rose
When Lacey Winters escapes her stressful New York City life for a relaxing winter vacation in the Caribbean, she’s ready to get some sun and enjoy a little time to herself. But her plans for peace and tranquility are shattered when she finds that her ex-boyfriend is already at the same resort–and with the same woman Lacey found him cheating with.
Reeling from the shock and determined to prove she’s moved on, Lacey impulsively kisses a handsome stranger she spotted on the beach for all to see.
As for the stranger in question, Drew Mitchell was just looking for a fun getaway from his busy life in Chicago. He’s surprised, but pleased at this unexpected turn of events and agrees to pose as Lacey’s new boyfriend.
As they explore their tropical surroundings as a couple, Drew finds himself drawn toward Lacey. Now, all he has to do is convince her their romance is real and strong enough to flourish once their vacation is over, while Lacey must decide if she’s ready to take the leap and fall in love.
Sandy’s 4 Blush Review
What’s the best way to get over a broken heart? How about a tropical vacation full of sun and sand? Lacey Winter thought that would be just the ticket until her cheating ex shows up at the same exact resort with the new chick.
Drew Mitchell was just minding his own business, taking his yearly vacation, until this beautiful girl walks up to him, asks if he’s single, and then proceeds to kiss him like she owns him.
No way Lacey is going to let Kevin (the ex) think she went on their vacation alone and is there sulking for him. Drew, on the other hand, just thinks he’s going to play along because it’s a win-win for him. They both jump into this adventure and we do right along with them. I mean they don’t even live in the same state, so it can’t lead to anything real. Except that the chemistry between them is real and then the emotions start to get too real.
This is Carina Rose’s debut book. This fake convenient story becomes an adorably sweet romance that will give you all the warm and fuzzy feels of your favorite Hallmark movie. This is a clean romance with sexy but fade to black sex scenes.
Not everyone loves Fifty Shades, red room, kind of graphic sex on every other page – well – I do – but I digress. You know what? I really enjoyed Once Upon a Kiss. I also happen to love those Hallmark movies too.
