When it comes to age gap – Saffron Kent is the author to go to! I fell in love with her writing and storytelling The Unrequited and haven’t stopped reading her since. Saffron Kent’s Medicine Man was one of my top reads in 2018. This novella is written about Simon and Willow’s daughter Fallon and a young man that Simon befriends.

At three years old, Fallon is infatuated with Dean and proposes marriage. But it’s now 15 years later and her infatuation has turned into full-blown love.

This story begins with Dean and Fallon driving “home” to see Fallon’s family at Christmas – 3000 miles from California where Fallon has followed Dean. This is her chance to let him know how she feels.

If you like age gap books – you will enjoy this story – but like many novella’s – it’s just too short for me. I want more – I want all of their stories, but I guess we can’t have everything!

Everyone thinks Dean Collins is too old for Fallon Blackwood. Her parents, her friends, even Dean himself.

In fact, he wants her to date guys her own age. But Fallon doesn’t care about that.

All she cares about is that she can’t take his eyes off Dean, her neighbor, her best friend, the guy who taught her to ride a bike and to climb trees.

All she cares about is that sometimes Dean can’t take his eyes off her, either. And that sometimes he looks at her like he wants to kiss her.

So it doesn’t matter that he’s thirty-two and she’s eighteen.

All that matters is that they belong with each other, and she needs to convince him of that.

Good thing they’re taking a cross-country road trip together, right?
