Somewhere in my reviewing history I said Sawyer Bennett could easily be my go to author for romance. Maybe I was wrong, maybe she could be my go to author for sex or anything good.
This book screams Tarzan all over it, but it’s so much more.

I’ve read some of Sawyer Bennett’s books and have always walked away with that feel-good feeling of boy meets girl, here is some drama, they get it on and it’s pretty hot and they live happily ever after, AND I LOVE THAT!! No pressure reading. Wile away your day with a book that lets you escape and leaves you happy at the end! Ah, yes!! Boy, was I surprised when I read her newest book, Uncivilized.! HO-LY MO-LY is it hot! And by hot, I mean your significant other could easily benefit from you reading this book!
When Zach is forced from his home in the Amazon, Moira is there to help him re-enter the modern world. At the request of an old family friend, Zach is brought back to the US. Moira, an anthropologist, is hired as a teacher and companion to Zach. What no one could have foreseen in his re-introduction into society was the chemistry that Zach and Moira produce! No doubt the physical attraction is so powerful you can almost see it, but there is a more personal connection there that allows them to get to know each other as well.
I have to give it to Sawyer. She can write some seriously hot sex scenes! More than one breathless “oh my” crossed my lips. That Moira could keep up with Zach was extraordinary, and my hat goes off to her! Wow, there is a lot of naughtiness in this book. All of that said, there is a great story in there, as well. Being forced to leave the only life you have any real memories of and then being forced into a world full of technology and industry is beyond daunting. Having to be the one who helps that person acclimate seems nearly impossible. Right there, you had me!
I really loved this book. My only issue was that I wanted more of Zach’s past. I wanted to know him more deeply. I wanted to see Moira have more inner conflict over the fact that she was essentially removing someone from their true culture at the request of someone who really doesn’t seem to understand the possible ripple effects that it could have. I wanted to see Zach’s struggle with technology, human interaction and industry.
I think you should read Uncivilized! It’s good. It’s hot. It’s a 4 star book!
