My name is Catarina.
Or, that’s who I was christened to be, anyways.
I live in a convent. I am a nun in training. A postulant.
I am eighteen years old.
I am a predator.
No one is safe from me.
I am protected.
No one can get to me.
By day one way, by night another. They call on me.
My name is Catarina.
Codename: Night Fury.
No one is safe from me.
I will come for you.

“I trail her down the dark, dimly-lit hall. The sounds of our footsteps echo through the narrow space.
I’m walking towards my destiny.
We reach the end of the hall. Frankie clicks in her keypad code. More humming and buzzing, the steel door clicks opens and finally – finally – I’m home.
I take the first step towards the rest of my life. And I do it wearing a shit-eating grin.
This is exciting.
My life will be thrown one-hundred-and-eighty degrees. From boring to extraordinary.
I can’t wait.
“Welcome back to Mirage.” Frankie utters as she starts her descent down the stairs to the ground floor.”
– Catarina, Night Fury
Dawn’s Review 5 Stars
Do you have a go-to author or authors? Well, I do and Belle Aurora is one of them!! I was browsing through my Kindle offerings, not finding anything to inspire when lo and behold, NIGHT FURY, made an appearance!!! I wanted to reach through the screen and kiss Belle for making my night! <insert crazy, happy dance>
Needless to say, I jumped in and couldn’t put it down! It was a finger-burner; you know, the ones where you can’t slide your finger across the screen fast enough to turn the page? Yeah. Like that. I will admit that when I read a few of the teasers, I was really wondering where this book would take me. But as with all of Belle’s other works, I was not disappointed.
Catarina is a nun-in-training. She wears her role in the manner in which she was taught. Yet there is more than meets the eye within the walls of the convent where she lives. Night Fury starts out strong in the Prologue and never lets up. There’s mystery, intrigue, danger, friendships, and a love interest…or two. 😉 I loved the secondary characters and how well they are written. The dialogue flows so smoothly that I truly felt I was within the walls with Catarina.
Take note that this is part of a series and will have you begging Belle Aurora for the Second Act (as I have already done…). There’s some seriously sexy moments, as well as some that make you truly wonder what in the hell is going to happen next. I love the premise of this one. It’s so fresh and had me cheering inside while also wanting to be in the moment with Catarina. Loved, loved, loved this one and am anxiously awaiting my next Night Fury fix!
Nicole’s Review 4.5 Stars
When Belle Aurora’s newest book, Night Fury: First Act, showed up on my Kindle, I wasn’t worried at all about reading the synopsis. It’s Belle Aurora! I read Raw. I read Willing Captive. I know she writes great stuff! I didn’t need no stinkin’ synopsis! Well, I wish I had read it because when I got to the end and realized that Night Fury is the first installment of a novella series, I let out a huge, loud WTF!!! I was invested and hanging on to every word, and then it was over!!! Ugh!!
Catarina White is an eighteen year old postulant; a nun in training. She has lived her whole life within the walls of a convent. Her only friends are the nuns and the priest who live there as well. From the outside, life in the convent seems idyllic, but there is a huge secret behind those walls. There is a secret world going on that Catarina has been trained to live in. At the risk of giving away too much plot, I will tell you only this…things are NOT what they seem.
In addition to a story that is full of action, intrigue, and plot twists, the cast of characters is amazing. There is Father Bob, who is unlike any priest this Catholic girl has ever known. There is the very out-spoken nun, Sister Francis. There is the sweet, super smart, slightly nerdy and very hot, Clark. And there is Marco…he is all of that minus the sweet and slightly nerdy. Add some badass and a whole lot of sexy, and you have yourself an incredibly hot love interest!! Did I mention he was hot?
Night Fury is one heck of a thrill ride! You are up and down. You get thrown for loops and have to backtrack in the story to see what the heck you just missed! You think you know what is coming next, and then you aren’t sure at all! I read this book in less than a day! I could not put it down. It had me from the Prologue and didn’t give me up until I turned to the last page! I CANNOT wait for the next installment in the Night Fury series!! I give Night Fury: First Act 4.5 stars.
