I Bite She Sucks by Penelope Bloom
First mistake.
I aimed it at a gorgeous stranger and put my address on it.
Second mistake.
Yep. You guessed it. I missed and hit a werewolf instead.
Next thing I knew, a large angrily attractive werewolf man was trying to get in my apartment. I introduced him to my baseball bat and figured that was the end of things.
Or not.
Because my well-meaning sister became a vampire to cure my immune disorder. Long story. In the process, she got a deadly team of fang bangers to hunt us for breaking their rules. Longer story. A+ for good intentions and a D- for execution, if you ask me.
Re-enter Mr. Grumpy and Growly werewolf. He’s going to be my bodyguard slash kidnapper, whether I like it or not. Apparently, he’s the only thing standing between me and certain death. Swoon, right?
Of course he hates all things vampire. A.K.A. he will take me from undead to dead-dead if he figures out what I’m becoming.
Thankfully, he has completely underestimated my ability to woo him with my adorable innocence, cheery disposition, and extreme powers of modesty.
As long as the feelings stay one-sided, I’ll be fine. Because giving your heart to a guy who is probably going to try to murder you is a recipe for disaster. And come on. When was the last time I made a catastrophic, life-threatening mistake?

Riggs was literally the leader of the pack – wolf pack specifically. He stepped down and just wants to fade into the ether. Except for that young woman, watching the world pass her by from her window. What else can he do but save her from herself?
Sylvie leads a very sheltered life. Her non-existent immune system makes it necessary. Her only contact with the outside world is her sister Maisey. Until a handsome stranger barges into her life and turns it all the way around.
I’ve never read Penelope Bloom before and I was pleasantly surprised. Sylvie is quirky and has a sweet innocence about her. Riggs is such a grouch! He wants to not care but he has a soft spot for Sylvie.
These two fight their attraction to each other while a group of vampires is trying to kill them all. If only it were as easy as saving the damsel in distress but there are paranormal politics at play. Werewolves, vampires and humans sound like a recipe for disaster. I Bite She Sucks is funny and endearing and dare I say it? Romantic and sexy. Even the secondary characters and the naked cat are quirky and funny.
A fun easy read. You’ll read this one straight through and check Amazon to find out when the next book in the series is coming.
