Help Me Remember by Corinne Micheals
Louisa’s 4.5 Blush Review
Help Me Remember is the first book in the Rose Canyon series by Corinne Micheals. Corinne always has the best series of interconnected characters, and I am so looking forward to this series. The other thing I LOVE about Corinne Micheal’s books is that she often brings her characters from different series into her new stories, which brings me back to some of my favorite characters, so reading her books is like seeing old friends!
Brielle and Spencer’s story is so different from Ms. Micheal’s other books. Brielle wakes up after an incident and doesn’t remember anything from the past 3 years of her life. She doesn’t remember who was her partner, what her job was, or even where she lives, but she knows one thing – she’s the only one who can identify who’s responsible for her injuries and her brother’s death. The level of angst in the book was epic; I can only imagine how hard it was for Brielle to have this information trapped inside with no way to get it out. In comes Spencer, her brother’s best friend, the one man she’s lusted after forever since she was a teenager. These characters were so relatable and in need of each other in so many ways, making me love the book even more!
He is making sure she’s safe and helping her remember, but there is so much more to the story, and Corinne Micheals had me glued to my kindle for hours on end!
Another fantastic start to a new series!
Help Me Remember (Rose Canyon #1)
by Corinne Michaels
In one second, my life disappeared.
My past. My memories. My future.
The only certainty I have from the last three years is that my older brother is dead, and I am the only eyewitness.
In order to protect the case, the lawyers demand that no one give me any information about my life . . . I must remember on my own. My only help comes from my brother’s best friend and world-renowned investigative reporter, Spencer Cross.
He has no idea how many nights I’ve spent dreaming of his name—and his body—next to mine.
Now we’re a team and our goal is to recover my memories and retrace my past. But each day we spend together, he’s looking at me as more than his friend’s little sister and I find it harder to want my old life back. Instead I’m wishing for a new one–with him. His kiss feels like home. His arms make me feel safe, and I never want this to end.
As my memories return, forcing me to face my future, everything falls apart… especially when I find an engagement ring hidden in my apartment. I have no idea who gave it to me, or what it means about my past.
I may have asked Spencer to help me remember, but now I wish I could forget
