Flawed by Francette Phal
You are this beautiful thing I want to destroy.”
That’s the only memory he carries from a childhood he does not remember. And now it is all he knows. Blood is his life.
Knox Bishop has done a lot of horrible things, all at the command of the man who holds his leash. It’s a matter of loyalty for him. Allegiance to the man who saved his life when he was a child. So he goes where he is needed and does what he is told. He tortures. He kills. He kills. He tortures. It is an unrelenting cycle that he constantly craves and can never quite satisfy.
Eighteen year old Lacey Barnes distributes her assets to fund her dreams. Medical school is the end game and she is determined to get there by any means necessary. But a family member’s careless mistake derails her plans and now she must pay a price in order to save him.
She goes to Knox willingly offering him the only valuable thing she has. Herself. In doing so he allows her into his world, a world she quickly realizes is void of any light and hope for escape is utterly elusive. But escape is something she finds that she no longer wants.
“He lays a path of pleasure laced agony for me to follow and I do. Stupidly I follow him down the blinding darkness of his euphoric hell.”
Dawn’s 5 star review
What do you get when you have a psycho serial killer, a prostitute, and a Russian Crime family?? One seriously deranged, sinister yet poetic tale from the dark side. This is the story of those we choose not to see, we turn our heads and pretend they don’t exist but I can assure you such depravity does exist. This is their world and you will be transported into it….. It’s a nightmare that is pure genius. To simply say, it is twisted and dark does not do it justice.. It is brilliant and unique. It makes no sense for me to tell you what this book is about, you probably wouldn’t believe me anyway. You need to experience it for yourself. It’s indescribable. Just know, it should come with a warning…. If you are looking for tenderness, butterflies and sweet candy-coated words look somewhere else… There is no making love… This dark erotica at it’s best!
The main character Knox, the serial killer, you are meant to be deadly afraid of him, but you will find yourself craving him. He’s the guy you know you should hate… But you are drawn to him, like a lamb to the slaughter. He is by far the most unique and complex character I have ever read about. He is unpredictable and merciless. Getting into his mind has been surreal. The entire book is filled with baleful characters. Each of them F*cked up for one reason or another. This is the survival of the fittest.
Then there is Katia. She another force to be reckoned with… She makes Lizzie Borden look like Mary Poppins next to her. Her savagery knows no bounds. Beautiful on the outside, black on the inside. I might be more afraid of her than Knox…. With every paged turned, you will need to know more. The story evolves with little crumbs of information…. The more you gobble up the more you want. Leaving you never fully satisfied and yearning!
This book plays out like one of those tragic accident on the road, You see it coming, you say your aren’t going to look but you just have to….. You know secretly you want to see gore. It makes you uncomfortable but in a sick way it makes your blood pump. That is Flawed. So disturbingly wrong. But it appeals to the darkness we all keep hidden.
5 bloody thirsty and erotic stars. Flawed has been playing on loop in my brain. I don’t just want the next book, I need it!!

I start to hum..~ Knox
Thump, thump, thump, heart beating fast…..
one more fingernail which is my last…..
oh no!! This part better be fast…. ~ Me
Yes…. this was me while reading a lot of these parts with this hardheartedly, brutishly man named Knox. He is in a whole league of his own, not having met one character as twisted as him, oh wait I have and she is the women form of Knox. Her name is Katia and her presence will be haunting you in this story also. Ding Dong….Francette Phal I need my sanity back….cause this story is insanely twistiness dipped in crazy sauce!! And I loved each and every part of it! Way above a 5++++ stars for me, fed each and every tangled twisted need for me! Read the warning before this and don’t read at night! But if you are like me at night would be best! *wicked laugh* mwaahaahaa….
Lacey is not the normal nineteen year old that is just about to finish high school and start her life off of her dreams. very far from it, instead she is working hard to get away from the nightmare that is her life. A leech of a brother and druggie as a mother, she is desperate and finds ways to make it easier to get out of this life. But the type of person Lacey is, its not that easy…she just can’t leave her only family without helping them and making sure they are taking care of. She does just that to bail one of them out. She finds herself in a sticky web of a predator. What does she have to do to get out….or does she want out? Does this predator unleash a deep hidden yearning for pain? We get to see her life and meet the people in it. I will say Tyler her only friend so far in the beginning is who I liked. Lacey’s character is one that I ached for. Seeing what she goes through and she gets up each morning with her head held high and a I don’t give a crap what you think exterior, really holds high respect from me. Also the feelings where I just want to jump in the book and help her.
” I have learned not to depend on anyone else for my well-being but myself.” ~ Lacey
Knox, Katia and Lacey are all different but one in the same….they all drive you to the brink of corruptive and destructive thoughts that will have you thinking Francette you are wickedly awesome!!!!! I need more!!! This is one book to experience of 2014!!
Francette digs deep and pulls such dynamic and intriguing characters out of that imagination of hers. This story has so much elements and is all pulled together to form one kick ass story that you will be thinking and talking about for a long long time!
“She’s a part of me now, her touch, her smell, every single beat of her heart, and all that she is has been permanently etched within the dark recess of my soul. Everything I do now is for her, to protect her. She is the only one that sustains me. The only person in this world I cannot do without. She is the one person I will not share.
SHE IS MINE… ~ Knox
