ALEX’S 5 BLUSH REVIEW
If you’re into Fantasy books, House of Dragons is absolutely going to be for you! This book had all my favorite elements of a classic YA Fantasy: a badass female lead, a broody love interest, amazing supporting characters, magic, and dragons.
Kerrigan is loyal, tough, and smart so getting the story from her perspective is fun and super entertaining. Fordham is mysterious and broody, and I loved how you didn’t know what his motives were for joining the tournament. Dozan is the perfect crime lord, sketchy, manipulative, and willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. Darby, Clover, and Hadrian were amazing supporting characters, all unique and loyal to Kerrigan.
Linde’s writing is simple and easy to read, but also does a great job pulling you into Kerrigan’s world. I found her descriptions of Kinkadia, the dragons, and magic particularly enjoyable!
I would absolutely recommend House of Dragons to anyone that is a fan of YA Fantasy! It’s fun, entertaining, and full of magic and amazing characters.
Really loved this one! I know the next ones probably a long time away but I’m excited for it already
Louisa’s 5 Blush Review
Writing this review is so easy for me. I don’t typically read fantasy. Years ago I read a fae series (The Fever Series) and I freaking LOVED it. Not sure why I don’t read fantasy because when I put myself out there – I LOVE it! Writing a review for a book I love just comes so easily. I just want to scream from the rooftops – READ THIS BOOK!
Kerrigan is a character that you can’t help but love, working hard all her life to be accepted, and on the one day that this dream is to come true is all goes by the wayside.
This book had me reading for hours upon hours. when I should have been cleaning or working or sleeping -I was reading.
I have been a K. A. Linde fan for a long time and I am finding that her writing is perfect for romance but maybe her mind and storytelling are MADE for fantasy. The twists and turns and the imagination it takes to write such a beautiful and complex book is mind-boggling!
